Rated 5 out of 5 by from A definite improvement I purchased a pair of JetFluid Pros for my wife and I recently, as an upgrade from the Fluid II's that we used. The Fluid II was a very good product and served me well for about 4 years, with no issues or problems. So why purchase the JetFluid Pro? The bottom line is that CycleOps took a good design and made it even better. Specifically, the clutch knob on the rear of resistance unit makes for consistent force against the rear tire from session to session. Also, the clamping system that attaches the rear wheel to the trainer is also noticeably improved. I also have noted that the fluid reservoir runs cooler on the JetFluid Pro.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing versatiluty I bought this trainer a couple years ago after having a Mag trainer for the last 10 years! I couldn't believe how much quieter it is and how smooth the drum is. Why did I wait so long? Now it is so much easier to use virtual trainer or even watch a DVD because I dont have to blast the audio at max. And the power curve is so much better that I am able to tailor my intervals a lot better. This winter will be much better than previous ones for those reasons for sure! Only thing I have trouble with is dialing in the tension on the rear wheel, they could have made it easier to fine tune so I dont get so much slip or tire wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Product I use this product primarily for indoor training. It is a great product, easy to use, effort feels natural. The only improvement i would suggest for all these products is to include some way to transmit power via Bluetooth Low Energy to an application on a phone (iPhone or Android). Since this product has a power curve corresponding to the speed, it wouldn't take much to measure speed and derive power. Alternatively, CycleOps could partner with Digifit, Strava, or others to provide them with Speed/Power curve they can use within the App to display power. Of course this assumes the rider has a Speed sensor on the bike communicating to the application. Just a thought...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent trainer I am a stay at home parent who is limited to riding on the trainer, either at naptime or at night. It's not ideal, but this trainer, a power meter, and a Chromecast have made for surprisingly satisfying and beneficial training. The trainer is very quiet, which is key for sleeping babies. The resistance is smooth and sufficient and all I need. Riding along to different race videos, I can sprint, stand, and grind all I want with confidence. My bike is securely attached, the frame is strong and sturdy, and it doesn't rock or wobble. If you have to ride indoors, get good equipment. This trainer is worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, quiet and predictable This is the second trainer I've purchased... and by far the best. Set up and riding in under 5 minutes. The resistance is predictable EVERY time and is very smooth. I couldn't believe that a trainer could feel like the road, but it's true... the faster you go, the harder it gets, just like on the road. The transition from slow to fast is just as tough as it's on the road. I know I will be able to better gauge my training over the desolate winter months using this trainer. Combined with the rollers I purchased a few years ago, I am extremely happy with Cycle-Ops products. You know what you're buying with them, solid, safe and consistent products that perform exactly as they state.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first GOOD Trainer I have had the JetFluid Pro for about two years. I am a clydesdale and this trainer is rock solid even with me on. I have the old style with the different tightening mechanism and while it works it isn't as nice as the new one for getting the same tightness everytime (which is important for using Virtual Trainer on TrainerRoad). Overall I could not be more please with it. Rides smooth and it pretty darn quiet for a trainer. It was a little more than I was originally planning on spending, but I think the extra bucks were well worth it as the quality of the Pro series is impeccable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Impressions I have only been using the Jetfluid Pro for about 3 weeks and so far have enjoyed it and almost completely abandoned my Kreitler rollers which have been my winter trainers for over a decade. The JetFluid allows for, in my opinion, a more realistic ride than other mag based trainers that I have tried. So far I have been using training routines that I have used in the past, either on the road or with rollers, but look forward to putting the included DVD to the test in the near future. Setup is easy and mounting the bike is a breeze compared to some other models I have seen or used. Setting the tension on the rear wheel could be a little easy, but once you have the hang of it it is a snap. Great product so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indoor training motivation in a Cycleops 09 world solo 24hr video is playing but I'm not watching, but gazing out the window watching it dump with snow, appreciating the smooth feel of the Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro trainer. Its what they say, real road like feel, quiet and the unit does not vibrate. The flywheel allows for momentum to carry when you back off pedaling, allowing the rear wheel to spin, giving a smooth gear change. You can really appreciate its smoothness when doing tempo's and you can see it reflected in a consistent HR graph. If your burnt out on the trainer get a Cycleops Pro series, the performance of these machines will help you get on it day after day in the OFF season - not to mention the results it will give you in the ON season.

Can you use this trainer if your bike has disc brakes and a skewer front wheel (rather than a fork)?

Asked by: Kate1234
This trainer does work with disc brakes. Since the trainer does not attach to the front wheel, it does not matter what type of front wheel you have on your bike.
