Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking I use this for every day carry when I am not concerned about carrying a bigger pocket knife around. The knife clips lower in a pocket than many other knives I've seen, which is nice. The assisted opening works well but is a little on the stiff side. I love how this knife closes! You push a button to unlock and the blade drops partway down so you can close it the rest of the way. There is a good amount of jimping, if you like that. The handle is a bit long and I'm not a fan of serrations, it would be nice if full straight edge blade was available. OVERALL: Not a bad knife although if your willing to look around, you could find a comparable or better knife for less money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Knife review I received the knife as a gift to be used as a light EDC. As mentioned above, the auto deploy mechanism requires a bit of pressure to operate, however, I found that to be a positive. The release mechanism is quite nice and is easily operated right or left handed. Overall quality of the knife seems fairly good for the price, the fit and finish was good, the blade on my knife doesn't rub when folded, and the G 10 handle provides solid wet grip. When deployed, the blade sits firmly in place with absolutely zero play when locked. The pocket clip is sturdy and tight, reassuring for folks like me who carry on the back pocket. Ergonomically the knife is well balanced and feels natural to hold. I'm a south paw, so the clip faces away from my palm. I found the length of the handle to be adequate, I have a medium-large hand so it fit my palm well. The gimping on the spine of the blade is pronounced, which I enjoy, and continues onto the handle. Only drawbacks I found were that my knife was pretty dull out of the package and i wish the serrations were a bit more aggressive. I would prefer a straight blade knife and would gladly purchase one if Gerber offered it. Also, as a leftie, I would enjoy the option to relocate the clip and wish that I could carry tip up. And, of course, I wish Gerber would make all their products domestically.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard To Open This is very hard to open one-handed, although it can be done. Clip works well. Very secure locking mechanism. Very little chance of accidental opening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This knife is lasting forever! I bought this knife about 5 years ago. It has never been an issue to open, as long as you press OUT on the thumb stud, rather than UP, as most knifes are designed for. It's been an asset in emergency situations on long hikes, and I now just it for work (concrete) and I am impressed with how long it has been keeping an edge!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from About as good as a $5 Flea Market Knife. It was hard to open and the blade rubbed on the inside of the handle when it opened and closed. Very poor quality it made my thumb sore from trying to open one handed after a few times I guess the assist in opening the knife comes from using 2 hands?
