Nice knife in the thirty dollar range. Very sharp. A little hard to close, but won't close on you while you're using it.

Extremely hard to open or close

I have had many Gerber knifes and liked them for their precision and ease of use. Never have I had a knife that is so hard to open and close. It is impossible to open with one hand which makes the thumb stub a pointless feature. When opening the knife, you have to use so much force that it would be very easy to slip and cut yourself when it finally decides to release. The inside lock to close the knife is so tough that I have to try multiple times, from different angles, to get it to budge. I have had 40+ knifes over the past 15 years, and never have I had a knife that's locking components where machined so poorly. It's a shame I'll be returning this knife because it has a sleek look with its black carbon-fiber design.

Literally the best knife I have ever owned.

I bought this knife almost 15 years ago. I used it for 8 seasons of tree planting everyday. I use it on the farm I work on now. THIS IS THE MOST RELIABLE KNIFE. I HAVE EVER USED. I still cut my finger nails exclusively with the serrated edge. 15 years later. of the same knife.

This knife,Gerber Swagger serrated drip point model is a great everyday use folder and in my opinion I believe it's better than the Evo Gerber model. Iv had a Gerber Evo and it felt cheap and flimsy. I gave the Evo away it was not as well put together as the Swagger is.I'm a knife collected and user and think the Swagger is a better all around pocket knife and the nie thing is it's priced less than the Evo. Personally I Think the Evo is over priced and over rated big time. I love the Swagger. I will buy another soon, gotta have two of them in case they stop producing them ; ) Thank u Gerber and keep putting out the great stuff for the buck bang.

This Knife is Unkillable

I've taken this knife all over the world, in the ocean, in the air, the desert, the jungle, and to work every day, and am convinced it is unkillable. I have used it for every possible use that one can think of for a knife, as a general purpose pry bar, bottle opener, to work on aircraft, and a wide variety of other tasks for which it was never designed. It has weathered all of them beautifully, and holds an edge well. I have never had an issue with the clip, or with the handle itself coming loose. It takes a deliberate action to close, and I have never worried about it closing accidentally while using it. 13/10, phenomenal product for the price.

Great Knife Great Price

I bought this 6 months ago and take it with me everywhere I go. I've used it for so many different purposes and haven't had to sharpen it! Very durable knife and for the price, nothing to complain about!

Gets the Job Done

Really happy I bought this knife. If I have one complaint it's that folding the blade back is not easy. There may be a way to fix it; but I've been too lazy to Google it. All that aside, that's the ONLY reason I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. I have NO regrets about owning this knife.

Great EDC knife...so far!

Had the knife for just a few days, but I can say ot's already proven to be a better EDC than my previous knife. The blade can be pulled out from - and returned to - its resting position with one hand. The blade is very sharp and because of the knifes discreet size, it can easily be concealed within the small pocket of jeans. I initially thought the price for this was slightly high, but after purchasing an additional knife at 1/3rd the cost of this one from a different online store, I see why this one is in the $30-$40 price range.

Poor design

I had high hopes for this knife. Unfortunately I had 4 issues with it. 1. It sits up much to high in my pocket when using the pocket clip. 2. It is very hard to open one handed. The thumb stub was sharp and uncomfortable to use. 3. It is even harder to close one handed. 4. When carrying it in my right pocket, it would hurt my hand anytime I put my hand in my pocket. It has many "sharp" or "rough" edges on the handle when closed that made it very uncomfortable. I always carry a knife and have never had this issue. In my opinion Gerber missed the mark by a mile on this knife.

Good knife!

I like the size of this knife as it is not to large but not so small that you can’t use it for most things. I don’t typically like this type of closing mechanism on any knife because in my experience they tend to get stuck after some use which occasionally happens with this knife. But if kept clean this should be a nonissue. The clip is also a great size and fits in my pocket nicely.
