Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product First of all I love these racks. I have a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. I used these to attach the aero blade bars to my car. They work amazingly, and where very easy to install, took my a total of 20mins to install ( I installed them in the REI parking lot). I didn't notice any increase in noise, but that could just be me. The only Con i can find is that the Locks don't come with the product. This was disappointing especially because i bought the xsporter racks for my truck and they come with every thing, including the locks, But with that being said these are this is still a great product and i'm glade i bought them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, solid and quiet Bought these and installed them in the REI parking lot within 20 minutes on my Audi A4 Avant. Super easy to install with no tools (save some scissors to trim the rubber). Now that I know how it works, I'd guess at most 10 minutes to get them off my car. The wind noise is minimal enough that I don't need a fairing (plus it would have interfered with my sun roof). The cost of the fairing was pushed into the incremental cost of getting the Aero bars and mounts. The downside is adapters for legacy mounts. I borrowed my friend's ski carrier, and that required to get a slightly pricey adapter to get it mounted. Once I buy my own pieces, I'm sure things will be a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Product installs very easily and is very secure. I am getting some wind noise from the aero cross bar, but not when my cargo box is installed. I planned to leave this on the car all the time, but it's so easy to install that I plan to keep the cross bars off when not in use. (though they look cool!) You may not have the noise I get on my X5 when the bar is installed...that can be very car dependent. It took me a couple of times to properly fit the locking end caps on the foot pack. After a couple tries, I got the hang of it, and it's fit better since that first try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We needed a rack to go on my wife's Subaru Forrester and this works perfectly on the factory roof rails. They were easy to install, and seem very secure. We used them in combo with the Aeroblade bars. They look good and work great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Simple So it took me less than 20 minutes to get everything together including locks and adding my universal pull top. The instructions are pretty straight forward too so if you can't install it properly, user problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid system This is the easiest rack system I have ever installed. Looks good too. The only drawback is wind noise at the junction of the footing and the aero bar. I fixed this wind whistle by placing a thin bead of clear silicone caulk at the junction of the bar-footing on the front side of the mounts. Presto about a 90% reduction in wind noise. Save your money and don't buy the fairing-it didn't reduce wind noise at all and costs about 65$ more than a tube of silicone caulk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I have used the bike rack several times a week and find it very easy to put the bike on and to remove it. It holds the bike very steady when driving and I do not worry about the bikes on top of the car. It was easy to install (crossbars plus 2 racks within about 2 hours)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy install. I have a 2011 VW Tiguan.I looked at both Yakima and Thule. Both are good systems, and I can't say exactly what tipped my decision. I am happy with the quality, fit, and easy installation. Also happy with low wind noise. I use it with the aeroblade.

I bought a thule 450 that fits square bars...is there an adaptor/kit available in order to change/switch from a squre bar to an aeroblade?

Thule part number 450 is not compatible nor can it be adapted for use with Aeroblade bars. Do I have to get a fit kit as well as the foot pack and bars? Or is this just for special fit issues. I have a 2017 VW Alltrack

Asked by: Herbie
The Alltrack needs the Thule AeroBlade Bars - 47" – Pair. A fit kit is not needed. We do recommend getting locks. The Thule Keyed-Alike Locks-4 Pack will lock the foot pack and bars down to the vehicle.
