Best Use Cycling
Stand Height 39 - 57 inches
Weight 22 pounds
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic clamp, works great for aero bikes I picked up this stand because it was the only one REI had in store that had a clamp that could grab my tri bike's aero seat post. All of the Feedback Sports clamps work from front to back, not side to side like the Park clamp. The stand was easy to setup, very sturdy, easy to work and move your bike with one hand on the bike, one hand on the lever to lock the clamp in place. Add to that the 20% off REI coupon, it's a total no brainer. Also picked up the work tray that fits the Park stand. It's nice to have close by to put tools on, worth it as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initial Review This is the PCS-10 which I just brought home. All the components were damage-free and assembly was intuitive and easy. The folding legs, height adjustment, and clamp adjustments all work as designed. I am very happy that I was able to easily clamp the top tube of my Stumpjumper in front of the rear shock. This stand is very stable when loaded with my bike which was a priority for me. I don't travel to a lot of events and a different stand might be lighter and more compact, however this stand can be taken without to many issues. I am very pleased so far and am confident I will get years of use from it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned it So many reviewers love their PCS-10 bike stands--I partially relied on those views when making my purchase. However, I returned mine to REI. Why? Because it didn't work. And the reason it didn't work boils down to the plastic clamp that is supposed to unite the two telescoping steel tubes that make the height of the stand adjustable. Even when brand new that clamp was useless--when my bike was on the stand it swung from side to side. Making matters worse, the flimsy clamp is secured with a two-cent screw. I'd recommend prospective buyers examine an assembled stand before purchase to confirm whether it will be sturdy enough for their needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, heavy duty workstand Works great. I read other posts that suggested it is difficult to assemble, but if you can't put this thing together you probably shouldn't be doing your own bike work. It is sturdy, stable, and seems well built. It's heavy, so moving and transporting it aren't easy, but its weight keeps it stable. The clamping can be a little fussy, but that's probably an issue with most of these devices. All in all, it is a good, well made tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike Stand I use the bike stand for doing my own mechanic work. It's stable and adjustable. Easy to store and to use. I wouldn't call it a shop stand, but it is great for the home mechanic. Gets the job done with very little hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great workstand Very impressed with the overall ruggedness and quality of this stand. Far superior to the flimsy "home mechanic" stand I'd been using for last 20 years. Easy to assemble - yes, it takes a little mechanical aptitude to assemble it correctly, but if you're able to do your own bike repairs it should be a piece of cake. Also easy to collapse for storage. Nice and stable with the bike in place - easy to reposition/rotate the bike while in the stand. Did I mention that I really like this stand?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great home stand Very good home stand. Sturdy and holds bike securely. Clamp is easy to adjust and provides 360 degree rotation. Easy to set up (don't let the instructions, which are confusing, throw you). Note this is not shop quality and doesn't claim to be. For the home mechanic or repairs/adjustments from the back of the car, though, this is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! This is a great product. Very adjustable and you can work on most any bicycle. I did find the instructions a little confusing and I had some issues getting it put together. It folds up for easier storage, but I would not call it portable as it is heavy and awkward, though you could throw it in the van or truck and use it elsewhere if needed. I use it in the garage, driveway and sometimes in the house.

Any reason the PCS-10 is $195 here and $160 everywhere else I can find it?

Asked by: mightydwight
This is so REI can give you your 8-10% co-op rebate back at the end of the year. Also, if there is a problem, REI has always taken back any product I have had trouble with, so there is a cost involved in that overhead. They also maintain real stores with sales employees who know their products. While I am a big fan of Amazon, I usually go with REI for outdoor/bike stuff, even if it does cost more.

Is this the same as the PCS-9 stand? Amazon says the LIST price for this is $147. Wondering why the price is so high.

The picture shows the clamp in a horizontal position, as if to clamp onto the horizontal top tube. I have a carbon frame bike (no clamping to carbon!) and need to clamp onto the vertical seat post - does the clamp rotate to accommodate vertical clamping?

Asked by: stnorth
The clamp can be rotated to a variety of different angles and can be rotated to a vertical direction.
