Repair in the Field
I purchased this repair stand clamp in order to use it in field conditions where a support vehicle was available. I added a couple of square U-shaped 3/8 inch clamps, plywood spacers, and C-clamps which allows the stand clamp to be temporarily mounted to any 4 x 4 post or railing available. When not in use, the entire setup packs in a small duffel in the car. What I find convenient about this design is the ability to detach the clamp from the mounting bracket. The clamp is attached to the seat post then the bike lifted to the mount. Quite helpful when handling my 30 pound E-bike. I am unable to point out any negative comments on this product.
A perfect home shop focal point
This Park Tool clamp performs just as advertized and I could not be happier. I was waiting for my chance to use my dividend on this clamp which I have wanted since last year!
Mobile bicycle stand -
The clamp for alloy seatpost is good and I can be mounted almost anywhere, in the shop with bolts and wing nuts. Would not use a carbon seat post, or keep and old alloy one handy...
