Major Design Flaw
I bought this through the outlet store and it was evident that it was an open package that was likely returned. I immediately found out why. The legs are retractable and the only way to extend them is to pull on the rubber feet. Unfortunately, the rubber feet are not securely fastened to the tube end. One of the feet immediately fell off and a second came off during the act of attempting to extend the leg. I was not using any force to pull the leg. Once the feet fall off, it is impossible to get the leg to extend into one of the two locking positions. I will be returning this tomorrow.
cheap quality
Do not waste time and money on this table. Ordered online and received this table damaged from factory. The scissors mechanism is bent on one side making it unusable as it will not fully expand out to lock the frame in place. Quality control failed badly. Returning immediately
Nice table. Poor assembly instructions.
Good sturdy portable table. Wish it had better instructions! When you have it assembled, and it feels flimsy, you need to lift up the middle hinge of the horizontal stabilizer bars and fix them onto a small pin in the middle of the rollout table in order for it to be sturdy. Once done, table works fine. Decent craftsman ship. Looks like it will last a while. Looks as nice in person as pictured.
He Ain’t Heavy He’s My Brother
I’ve been looking for a camp table for a while. Anything from Walmart is heavy and cheaply made. It seems like this table is of generic build sold by different retailers and companies across the web. In fact, REI sells the same table, in a different color, from a different company. I mostly bought the table for the outlet price + 20% outlet coupon. We car camp with a Jeep Wrangler so bulk and weight isn’t really a concern. After hearing the UPS guy bang around his truck then give the box an unceremonious kathunk on my carport, the table was in perfect shape when I pulled it out of the box. Unfolding and setting the table up is as awkward, but doable, for such a relatively inexpensive table. My wife helped me and we didn’t argue, so home run! It seems sturdy enough and doing a test run with a cheap Igloo cooler full of drinks and ice plus whatever else I could reasonably put on the table didn’t make it budge. I had no problems extending the legs. In fact, I may hacksaw the legs down because the table is a little high for camp chairs, and use the extension feature to bring the table higher for cooking and food prep. The problem is people will buy an item at bargain price expecting a premium experience. If I had bought this table for $169 dollars full price I would be disappointed mainly because of the weight. Purchasing it for less than half the price, I’m very pleased. I will update my review to reflect how it performed during our upcoming camping trip.
