[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who is at the upper limits of this chair's capacity, I often struggle to find quality, comfortable chairs that don't feel like they'll quickly fall apart. I was immediately drawn to how supportive and sturdy the chair felt without being bulky or unnecessarily over-engineered. Whether sitting flat on the ground or rocking back and forth, I felt completely grounded the entire time, and didn't once feel like I was nearly too big. I do wish that it came with a carry case, as all my other outdoor chairs have them and it is very convenient both for storage and to prevent dirt from getting anywhere if the ground is muddy, however, the built in strap to secure the chair as well as the built in shoulder strap do help alleviate some of that concern. Overall I was very impressed with the build quality, durability, and comfortability, and could definitely see myself purchasing additional chairs as my older (other brand) chairs need replaced.
If you have big hips there is plenty of room in this chair for you but Im just over 300lbs and this chair collapsed on me the first night when I was leaning back in it. I have 3 of the stowaway rockers for 5+ years and have never had an issue. I wanted more outside chairs so my friends don't always have to bring some. All the fasteners in frame seemed very loose. I will say maybe I got a bad chair but not a great look. I did file a warranty claim so I will see how that goes. I personally will not get another one of these unless GCI gives me one to test but lesson learned stick to what works.

Bought this chair 2months ago to be ready for the upcoming softball season. 2nd tournament weekend this past weekend and bolt/screw already lost. This happened to one of our gci chairs last season, but cut some slack bc it happened at the end of season. How does this happen after 4 days. Pic 1&2 are new chair with price tag still attached. 3rd pic is chair from last year coming apart in same spot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really needed to test this out as it's a similar rocking chair. But I have to say this thing is nice. You slowly rock into place but it's solid and fits well for a big guy like me. Feels good love the "lock" and great product. Love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Speaking as someone who has had a long career of breaking camp chairs at outdoor events, this is definitely sturdier than a standard cheap camping chair. The fact that it is a rocker is nice. It rocks with a smooth motion and is very comfortable. The fabric is a little thin, but seems durable enough. I think it will hold up fine to typical use. Would recommend for anyone on the heavier side looking for more than adequate integrity in a portable chair. I’m roughly 270 pounds at 6’4” and it suits me perfectly fine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The chair is really easy to set up. Just open it up and you’re ready to go. Very comfortable and seems to be sturdy, but time will tell if it lasts. The only issue I really have with it is that the phone pouch is pretty small so some larger phones probably wont fit well. Over all it’s a nice chair that I’ll definitely be taking camping this summer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this xl rocker it is very comfortable and I even went out and bought another after trying this thing out all I can say is it's amazing and I would highly recommend it to you it's design and colors are really nice can't wait to take camping
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the large framed people like me it's tough to find a collapsible chair that is comfortable and sturdy. Gci Outdoors provides us with fantastic solution AND it's a rocker too! Standard cup holder and pocket for a phone hang from the armrests.
Good upgrade from shorter kickback rocker. Definitely better for taller people who want a higher seating position. I personally don’t like low sitting chairs, they hurt my knees. New Seating position is great on the knees. The breathable back rest is really nice after some heavy activity or just relaxing. I do however wish the picket was a lot bigger and cup holder could be more universal.
So I really love the oversized rocker, such a comfortable camping chair. But as an avid camper, I have now had not one, not two, but THREE chairs break in the same exact spot with the bolt on the cross support at the base. The first two were mine so I thought it was a "me" problem, but now my husband's just broke. I feared maybe the weight limit was exceeded but I am 200lbs LESS than the weight limit noted and my husband is 100lbs less. I came here to see if other people have had this happen and sadly, they have.
