It is very reliable when dealing with winds, and the space is very large!
I embarked on a four-night camping trip to Grand Teton with my seven-year-old in August. The tent I chose proved to be an exceptional choice. Despite experiencing two severe thunderstorms, it held up remarkably well, maintaining its integrity even with water under it. On the final night, we arrived at our campsite quite late, and since the sky was clear, I wasn’t overly concerned about the location. However, I overlooked the fact that the area where I set up the tent had a low point. As a result, a storm rolled in, causing water to accumulate beneath the tent, creating a makeshift water bed. Fortunately, the tent remained watertight, preventing any water from entering. Considering these circumstances, I would rate this tent five stars. Its weight is impressive for a 20-mile loop, especially considering the additional weight I carried for myself and my son. However, I did discover that the claw feet that secure the poles can detach, and I unfortunately lost one on the last morning. I realized this only after returning home and attempting to set up the tent for cleaning. Without the claw feet, the tent cannot be assembled. Fortunately, Nemo promptly sent me replacements, including extra connectors for my future adventures. I highly recommend paying attention to this detail, as it can significantly impact the tent’s functionality. Despite this minor setback, I still maintain a five-star rating, especially considering the current sale price. I paid the full price for this tent, and I am thoroughly satisfied with its performance.
Waterproof, hail proof, and very spacious. I was skeptical about the waterproofing with how light it is but it’s water tight. Stoked on it and hope it holds up for years to come.
