Took this tent camping in Northern North Dakota and slept under the stars. Keep all the bugs out and super easy to setup and to take down!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up and light. Footprint fits perfectly
Lived in this tent for two weeks during the expedition to Verhneangarsky Rigde, Baikal area (Russia). The weather was warm, but mosquitoes were the main issue bellow the forest line. Lightness and compactness are the key features. The stability is enough for thunderstorm, don't forget to use velcro clipping points on the fly. Tent is roomy for two people (luxury if you are alone), long enough, two vestibules allows easy exit/enter options without disturbing you tentmate.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first backpacking tent and I absolutely love it. Great colors and super lightweight. It only takes a few minutes to set up. I backpack with my 65lb dog and he hasn't managed to tear any holes yet.
I'm loving this new super light tent. I owned the Marmot Limelight for years and it held up incredibly well, so I'm confident that Marmot's new Superalloy will too. I recently went on a backpacking trip and with a footprint, it was still under 3 lbs which was awesome. It rained most of the time and my things stayed dry, despite the water that seemed to hold in the mesh - I was a little nervous of that but there wasn't a problem. I was also caught in an aggressive wind storm and everything held up just fine, again to my surprise. It's a little different getting used to having to stake down the one end, even without the rainfly. I also agree with other reviews that I wish there were more inside compartments (mainly it'd be nice to have an overhead net), but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, super happy with the Superalloy so far!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tent. My first tent I purchased for backpacking actually. Super lightweight and easy to put up but left a lot to be desired after initial usage. The main con of this tent are the interior pockets. Lord is it annoying to have such useless pockets where everything just slides out of. A good pro is it has kept me pretty well throughout below freezing and the peak hotness of the summer. I have issues already though of the mesh getting some holes in it. I’m very careful with this tent packing it up and putting it down so I’m unsure what the cause of that is. Overall it’s a good tent but if I were to pick again I probably would’ve bought something else in this range.
Hello, I am an outdoor chair for boy scouts. I used this tent for a 7 day backpacking trip with the scouts. It was super light and small enough to fit into my osprey pack. We hiked 50 miles and set up in 4 different location. We were on an island so it was windy and rainy, but this tent did its job. Easy to setup. I love this tent. Makes my trip more enjoyable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer I am a novice, but this tent met all of my hopes and expectations. Its light, its easy to set up, its semi-freestanding, and the design allows for a great view without the rainfly. Arguably if you need it for any warmth you will need the rainfly on, otherwise you're basically outside minus the bugs. Did not test in rain. Did not test in very cold.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how light and roomy the tent is. The 2 person SuperAlloy worked perfect for my 4day backpacking trip. It helped lighten my pack by 2 pounds, replacing my 4 pounds 2person tent. The structure has great headroom and kept me dry through a heavy downpour. Room inside tent for me and my pack. The vestibule was large enough to stow my camp chair at night and protect it from the rain. The tent came with 7 light weight stakes. I added two additional stakes to stake out the fly, which is optional. My only thought is the interior pockets were angled horizontal and were not ideal.
I had a chance to use the Syperalloy last week for a quick overnighter. The tent is super light, have poles and stakes ready to go because even a small breeze tried to take it away before I grabbed the stakes. Plenty of room as a 1p tent with gear. Two will fit cozy. The interior side pockets are all but useless as they are slanted and everything falls out. It was a nice night so I can’t speak to the rain worthiness yet. Bent 1 stake easily on first pitch. I’ll replace those with some Eastons I’ve had for decades. Overall, I really like it. I’ll stitch the pockets so stuff doesn’t slide out. I’m replacing a 25yr old Sierra Designs tent that weighs twice as much. I’ll be interested in the longevity of this lightweight tent. Awesome colors
