[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great 2 person tent on the inside and feels much bigger when your inside it which is great but I have noticed 2 things, compared to another 2 person tent that I have the pack size is much larger so instead of fitting in my Backcountry bag like the smaller one I have it takes up bottom to top on my bag): that's on me I should've checked pack size, second is the weight difference compared to online, on site it says it weighes around 4 pounds and a lil more, when I got the product it's more over 5 which isn't a problem just weird. I will say it's a sick tent overall and has great construction along with color coded poles alligned as one for easy setup
For the price, the Limelight is a solid performer. It's the style and size that the majority of outdoor folks will at some point. It also won't break the bank. While ultralight tents shine for the fast packers and the weight conscious, the price for weight savings is a non linear formula. In other words you'll pay a lot more for a lot less when it comes to shaving ounces. I've used the lImelight in all its configurations over the years. Mine has been to Mexico, the Andes, and all over the US. It's a good three season performer and works even in the odd snowstorm. It's light enough to travel well and carry (if load is shared between two people).
Easy set up. Lots of room for one person and a dog.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I bought this tent for a trip into the Angeles mountains with friends and it was great !! It’s the little things that matter with this tent. You have ample room with the vestibules areas and the poles are colored coded so it only took me 5 minutes to set up the actual tent. I got my socks wet during the trip and clothes hanger worked perfectly along with having more than enough room inside.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The limelight-2p tent is amazing! They call it a 2 Pierson tent but there's room for 2 people, gear, and your dog especially in the newest configuration. Having the additional "wings" adds so much room. I had the version from 10 years ago and it finally gave way. Marmot stays true to their lifetime warranty and I'm living this new one just as much! Setup is easy for 1 person even in the wind. Great ventilation, so much surround mesh, virtually never have condensation issues, have never had any waterproofing issues and love the huge bathtub bottom. Overall the materials used, the size, the height, the comfort, you can't go wrong with this tent! May be the slightest bit heavy of you're an ultralight hiker amd solo carrying.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is amazing. Very spacious for two people. Easy set up. Some condensation as to be expected with any tent. The condensation stayed on the tent fly and was a non issue for me. The tent easily fit inside my 45L pack. The tent packs up into its packaging with ease. Absolutely no struggle trying to roll up the tent and place in carry sack.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this tent is just beautiful. The colors are as vibrant as they are online. This tent is perfect for car camping and 2 people (especially if you have a dog or a small child). It is a great tent, super easy to set up and tear down. Can stand on its own and comes with a footprint which is an added bonus.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I give this tent 5 for quality, value, light weight, and ventilation. I love leaving the rain fly off at night for excellent views and ventilation. I use it primarily for my annual bike ride across Iowa (RAGBRAI). The price has actually come down since my initial purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took this on a two night backpacking trip in the Rockies and the extra space from the gear wings was the envy of everyone in our camp. Definitely got called the Vienna Sausage tent a lot, but if it's functional, who cares what color it is. Makes it easier to spot your camp. Got rained on plenty and this thing stayed dry-- that's probably the most important part. Set up was all color-coded so super easy. Clips in like other backpacking tents. My only gripe is the door. The fly only has a vertical zipper to access the door and the bubble of the D is on the other side. So you really have to reach around to open it and I felt like I was always battling the tent to get in (my partner did not hate this as much as I did). I'm sure it's not the lightest tent on the market but weight wasn't a huge concern on our trip and I really appreciated the extra space to keep our packs inside the tent. The ol Vienna Sausage tent will be continue to be our backpacking go-to. Its flaws can be overlooked for the convenience of extra space.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travelled alone on a road trip for a couple weeks. On the road trip I was setting up and tearing down the Limelight 2 by myself on a daily basis. Compared to many other tents I have used it was a breeze and I could set it up and tear down in only a few minutes.
