Ruined the Silver Ridge shirt line-no longer Nylon
Silver ridge was one of my go to products of all products I purchase for outdoor clothing as well as "trail to tavern" uses. One reason for that is the shirts USED TO BE nylon. Nylon has a very specific advantage over polyester that is it does not retain body odors. Polyester does. All the new "Utility " line is polyester. Differences between the two fabrics in regards to water absorption (Quick dry) are minimal. Nylon is also typically more durable. Notice the Silver Ridge pants are still nylon. I seriously hope Columbia brings back a nylon line of Silver Ridge short and long sleeve button up shirts.

Fresh and comfortable

The changes they made to this shirt are terrible
I hate the new version of this shirt. The previous one had matching flap pockets on the front. This shirt has one snap pocket that collects dirt on the right side. On the left is a stupid side entry pocket that is frustrating to use. They also replaced the top two shirt buttons with snaps. Just the top two. So you have regular buttons half way up then it changes to snaps. The previous shirt was my favorite shirt to wear at work in the summer. I own at least 10. Everything detail they changed they made worse. I hate it

Super lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Read about the Silver Ridge shirt on a thru-hiker's forum. Getting ready for 9 days in the wilderness and was looking for a shirt I could wear for multiple days so I don't have to carry many spares. This shirt is feather light and fits me well. Super breathable. Have worn it on some sweaty day hikes so far and seems pretty great. We shall see on the long trip! My wife said the green color would help me blend in so she doesn't get tire of seeing me in the same dang shirt everyday!
Great shirt
Great shirt. I have 6 of them.. all colors. Also 3 colors in long sleeve style. I live in Florida and this shirt is very comfortable for all activities. I also go on ocean and river cruise a lot and these shirts take up very little space and weight in luggage. Also they are wrinkle resistant. Very durable. Only wish they came in more colors. Hope Columbia keeps offering these great shirts.
You won’t regret it!
This has been my “go-to” shirt all summer long. Incredibly lightweight and breathable. The back vent helps to keep me cool on even the hottest days. I ended up ordering another one just because of how much I like it. I recommend this shirt to everyone I know!
