[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ignore my messy room but my fiancé LOVED this jacket! At first we laughed because it was just so random to us but we ended up taking it out to our backyard where there’s a bunch of bugs right now because of summer, and he really enjoyed it! Bugs were constantly in my face trying to land while he was protected when trying to do yard work so I think it’s great! It’s a thin mesh so you can breathe just fine :) I recommend for anyone who may need to be around bugs or needing some extra protection while doing things in nature!

The main thing for us was that it was breathable and had uv protection. We enjoyed all that it has to offer with Hiking and outdoor activities. Columbia is a great company and their quality of clothing is excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Columbia Skien Valley Hooded Shirt for my partner - he’s constantly outside but doesn’t have a ton of clothes for our PNW weather. I’m an Oregon native, so I have a fondness for Columbia as a brand. This hoodie has been great for him as a light outer layer. The sizing is really accurate. (He’s 6’1” and wears an XL.) It’s super light weight which is great for him, as he always runs pretty hot. We have joked about various crimes he could commit with the bug screen on, but he hasn’t really had a need to use that feature (neither in the intended fashion nor for more suspicious antics). Like always, Columbia has provided us with dependable garment, perfect for PNW life.

The Columbia Skein Valley Hooded Shirt is easily one of my favorite pieces from this line. My husband is 6’6 and was very excited that these come in tall sizes. It’s great to have the extra length when moving around and casting. The fit is perfect and just slightly roomy because he sized up intentionally. The insect protection and sun protection are great features in this hooded shirt. Overall he was very happy with this item. This product was gifted to me by Columbia for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first saw a jacket with zip off sleeves and a built in mosquito net, I thought it was a bit silly, but once I tried it out and took it out on the lake, I totally understood! It made fishing along the shore at dusk a game changer! It's super breathable and but still keeps bugs out. Also the fit is superb. I'm a leaner 6'1" and the medium fit perfectly!

It fits great and I love that the zipper goes both ways so you can unzip it from the bottom. It has built in SPF and bug repellent, plus the mesh hood to cover your face/head from no-see-ems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Skein valley hooded shirt is not a shirt, but a bulky jacket with thick fabric that is totally unsuitable for hot and buggy weather. The product description is totally off in categorizing it as a warm weather shirt. It’s a pity since the design and features are perfect for my needs, but alas the thick fabric, unnecessary bulk makes it totally useless for my needs.
