pretty decent hoody for the price. i couldnt find a better one for less than a hundo. light and smooth i mainly bought it for the house so the pockets are welcome, sewn smooth, and do add value. more of suburban jacket or around camp its perfectly fine as a standalone although i have not tested outside but i dont think it is super warm. 60s ok 50s maybe b4 needing another layer. i dont like the pointy bulky corners at the top of zipper that sort of dig into your neck. the way they are sewn with the hood is not smooth but the lower neck on jacket does not have this issue. on the other hand this hoody or the jacket is the not the perfect midlayer esp for hiking or backpacking bc of all the bulky pockets that add weight although it can still be used under a shell bc it is thinner than a midweight fleece. the jacket would be alot lighter wo the pockets and possibly make a suitable midlayer for hiking but as is i wouldnt go hiking with all these extra pockets and carry a shell too. as a lighter weight fleece its still too heavy and bulky for aerobic activities as there are much lighter puffies and more expensive midlayers for the ultralight crowd.

Not What The North Face Used to be

I've had the hoodie for about 4 months. I wear it a lot but it's been one thing after another. It's falling apart. It started with the way in the zipper and now the stitching behind the hood is coming out. The North Face used to be reliable outdoor gear but it seems it's lost that focus.

Poor Craftsmanship

The zipper is really wrinkled and wavy. I thought giving it a wash might relax the material but it didn't. I've bought these in the past with no issues. The fit is amazing.

says it is midweight fleece but its not. on the thin side thus not super warm below 60 unless your moving so you will need a shell. other specs then say fleece weight is light which is correct, but its not lightweight overall bc of all the pockets which are useful and big but not ideal for ultralighters. the corners on the top of collar and zipper are not sewn smooth making them bulky and pointy on the inside which kinda bugs me. the non hood jacket(4stars) is sewn smooth on the inside of collar so i think it is better choice if you are looking for a thin, casual, smooth outer, fleece jacket w 3 pockets. elastic cuffs and hem are simple and nonadjustable. i also do not care for the white logos on the front and back.

Curvy zipper after only 1 wash!

Very soft and comfortable material. However, the zippers become very curvy after only a single wash in cold water with low tumble dry! Is this a QA issue?

Major Disappointment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's going back. Received it today and was bummed out as soon as I opened it. It's NOT fleece, but some kind of cheap slick nylon. A sweatshirt (thin one) not a jacket. When I first opened it, I was convinced it was an Aliexpress knockoff. The material looks and feels cheap, the stitching is sloppy, and a slight cold breeze went right through it. I put it on, went outside in 45 degree weather and Sri's outside for about five minutes. I repeated this experiment with a Hanes hoodie, and the hoodie was warmer. I'm not sure if someone returned a knockoff in place of an authentic product and I got stuck with it, but they should be checking these things out. Even at 50% off, I can't keep this "jacket" it's still about $30 overpriced

Be the envy of al your friends!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this hoodie. It's very warm, has a low profile (not bulky) and good stretch. The low profile makes it a good under layer option and I frequenly partner it with a rain shell on colder wet days. I've climbed with it a bit and it holds up to some abuse and does not restrict movement substantially. It's also good as a casual option around the house and office if you just want to look fly and in charge. I haven't had it on the dance floor (yet) but I expect great things. Overall great product and I bought one for my 18yo son so he'd stop stealing mine.

Glad I bought it

The jacket is comfortable for me between 52F and 72F. I thought it was a little tight at first but it stretched a bit. I bought a Med and they run a little tight. I like the hood but wish it had drawstrings. The jacket is made in Jordan, which is a first for me; it seems like good quality. I would consider getting another one in a different color as I wear mine almost every day in SoCal.

The perfect lightweight jacket

I purchased this jacket for my brother as a gift and he loves it! He hates bulky jackets, so he loves that this one keeps him warm but doesn't make him feel "like a marshmallow." The only thing he doesn't like it that it is not waterproof, and we live in the PNW. He often wears it underneath a thin rain jacket though and says it is still comfortable and breathable while staying fairly non-bulky despite the layers. Overall, it is a pretty great jacket, and I'm sure he will purchase another one if/when this one needs replacing!
