Love this bike for our toddler! She is about 33’’ tall, so without the pedals it’s a bit too tall for her to use as a push bike but the pedals fit great so there is plenty of room to grow into it over this year. The hand brakes are a really nice addition and this bike will help her learn how to really use a bike so the next size up will be a breeze when she’s ready. The red color is bright and fun and the tires seem very sturdy. The added toggle to stop the handle bars from being able to do a full turn is great for kids learning to turn.
This is great product - much lighter than the other similar bikes we've tried and great geometry for an average-sized 4 y/o. It was light enough that our son was easily able to carry it up and down our front steps, which should make it easier for him to learn balance when he's ready. For now, we still have it set up as a balance bike without pedals, and it works great for that as well. It was very simple to put together and even came with an extra rear wheel that's mounted on a free wheel to swap out for the coaster hub (i.e., backwards pedal break).
My daughter started with a Woom 1 when she was 1 year old and we were all so excited to size up to the Woom 2 at 3.5 years old. We were thrilled with the very easy transition to pedals, never needing to bother with training wheels! One of the standout features of the Woom 2 is the dual hand brakes that are very easy for even a young child to learn and operate. My understanding is that kids bikes come with a foot (coaster) brake (part of the rear wheel) installed now due to regulations, but the rear wheel of the Woom 2 can be easily swapped with a freewheeling hub from Woom which removes the foot brake and allows kids to spin the pedals backwards. Probably not a big deal for most, but worth mentioning as it proved to be an easy transition for my young daughter to learn to use the hand brakes only. One of my favorite small details is the rubber o-ring which connects the frame to the handlebars and limits kids from oversteering (it is very easily disengaged). Also, the kickstand is conveniently adjustable. The Woom 2 is super sturdy while still being light enough to carry home when your child inevitably decides they are done riding at your furthest point away from home. My thought is a lightweight bike is maybe more important for a parent’s back than it is for the kid riding it (but it does make the bike easy to pedal and maneuver)! It is very apparent that the bike is made from high quality components/materials and that the bike will withstand even the wildest of little riders. Regarding assembly, I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward and simple it was to put together the Woom 2—most surprising was that the tires are even shipped inflated. It took me less than 20 minutes to unpack the bike and assemble it. Unpacking entailed removing some protective plastic/cardboard and snipping a couple of zip ties used to hold everything securely together during shipping. Next, attach the handlebars to the stem by tightening two bolts and inserting one bolt into the stem. Be sure to attach the reflectors (red goes on the seat post and white on the handlebars). Lastly, using the included wrench, attach the pedals (helpfully marked left and right), give everything a once-over and the bike is ready to ride. It was as painless of an assembly as I can imagine—Woom definitely delivers on a hassle free setup. The Woom 2 is a bit of an investment, but trust me, it's totally worth it to kick off a love of biking for your kiddo! Also, the incredible quality of Woom bikes will enable you to pass these down to younger siblings/family members, or recoup much of your initial investment. Our family is always recommending Woom to friends and neighbors. Without a doubt we will size up to larger Woom bikes in the future.
This is a great little kid's bike. It has a very sturdy kickstand, comes with pedal AND hand brakes and a chain guard. It's beautifully made, lightweight but sturdy. I think it'll be a great bike for us to use moving forward and pass on to someone else (good as new) when we are done with it! It's a quality bike, highly recommend!
This bike is extremely well built and my son loves it. I received the bike as part of a promotion so I did not have to buy it. If I did I would not have bought it due the advertised price of it and how quickly a 4 year old grows. It comes mostly assembled and was together in a matter of minutes. The red color really pops.
