woom  EXPLORE 5 Kids' Bike

This bike is perfect for my tall 7yo daughter, everything is working well so far, EXCEPT for the first 2 days experience when BOTH pedals fell off (got unscrewed) as my daughter was riding it (REI bike shop assembled the bike). First it was the left pedal, so I thought ok they just didn't tighten it enough and didn't even think to check the other pedal, and the next day the right pedal fell off during our longer ride, good thing I grabbed a wrench with me just in case the left pedal got loose again. And of course the important part is that my daughter is safe. Yes, she got scared that the pedal fell off and her foot slipped and she almost fell, but she handled it. So I hope REI (Roseville, CA) reads this and does better for other customers, this is kids' safety we're talking about.

My son just got the Woom EXPLORE 5 in magnetic blue for his 9th birthday, and its been a total game changer. Hes been riding Woom bikes since the Woom 1 and had ling out grown his woom 3. I was a bit worried about skipping the woom 4, but woom 5 ended up being the perfect next step for him. Despite never having used gears before, he hopped on and figured out the trigger shifter in like 5 minutes. The gear transitions are smooth and intuitive and the bike is so lightweight that so he can easily carry it up stairs by himself. The magnetic blue color is stunning.

This is my son's 9 year old borthday gift. We loved bike so much, especially my son loved it so much. It has very light frame and beautiful acceleration and break are super safe.

We have had our kids on Wooms since they could throw a leg over the Woom 1. They all went straight to pedals and have been confident riders. I just got my 8 year old a Woom Explore 5 and she absolutely loves it. She feels stronger transitioning from asphalt to gravel, riding in the dirt, and tackling hills. She loves the new paddle shifters instead of having to rotate the hand grip. She didn't have enough grip strength to easily shift on the 4, but it's easy now. Would definitely buy again!

it is the perfect size for my 8 yo, though i had concerns it would have been too big for him. now i'm getting the same explore 5 for my 7 yo (who is almost as tall as his brother at about 51"). it rides smooth, he loves the idea of a bike with gears that lets him control his speed. it's sturdy, a really beautiful bike. so far, so good.

Daughter loved the new bike. Matte finish looks very good and disk brakes are much better. It's expensive but resale value of these bikes is very good.

It was easy to put together and my son has loved it so far. It rides smoothly and fits him perfectly.

We have been loyal Woom customers for years. Every bike gets better. Love the new disc brakes.
