Poorly designed.
This is the most worthless travel bag I have ever purchased. When you unzip the top flap and fold it back it doesn’t fully expose the interior of the bag and the sides continually fall in making it difficult to pack and access items inside. There are two pockets inside that complicate this issue if you put anything in them. There are no compression straps inside to hold items in place when you use this as a roller bag. I could not use this as a duffle as the duffle base is a heavy, hard plastic tray making it very awkward to manage. It would be nice to be able to remove the duffle straps as they add to the issue of keeping the bag open for access. On a positive note. The wheels travel well over cobblestones and rough surfaces. The fabric is water resistant and the stand is heavy duty, but prevents it from fitting in the carryon sizer at the airport. I am a seasoned traveler often on a boat, plane, train or bus in a foreign country for 90 days at a time and while it held everything I needed for an extended trip, I won’t use this bag again, EVER because of its poor design.
Perfect for Adventure Travel
I just got back from a trip to Jamaica, and I love this bag! I like to travel with a wheeled duffle, but they typically don’t stand up very well. This hybrid duffle (the bottom is hard plastic, and the top is soft and compressible) stands up super sturdy so you can add your personal bag on the handle. The kick stand folds away for storage. I fit everything for a 10 day adventure travel trip in this bag with room to spare. Also fit in the overhead easily.
Performed Well on International Trip
I recently took the bag to Spain and back. I was surprised with its versatility. Both the straps and its rolling capabilities were put to use. At first i was not crazy with how it looked, it's basically a large plastic base attached to a medium size duffle bag, but the base and wheels allows for durability and ability to roll that a normal duffle wouldn't. It fit easily into the overhead compartment on all flights. Overall, pretty happy with the purchase.
Handle to short and doesn’t stay extended
Poor pull handle design ruins this bag. I purchased this bag for a specific trip. Not only does the pull handle not click and stay extended, it’s far too short. I’m 5’7” and have to hunch over to pull the bag! It’s not easy to pull it through the airport as it often tips over. I will return it after we get home. Very disappointed.
Smaller than it appears
I purchased this bag specifically for a trip I was taking. I wanted a carryon size bag with wheels. I thought this bag would give me more flexibility in packing than the standard soft-sided roll aboard suitcase style. Sadly, that was not the case. It is far smaller than it appears based on the dimensions. I ended up not taking the bag on the trip, and will return it to the store.
