Great sun shirt, bad packing by REI
The sun shirt is great, breathes well, comfortable and blocks the sun. Unfortunately my sun shirt arrived with a pen mark on the hood. I would have exchanged the shirt but they had no others in stock at my local store and I was going on a holiday so couldn't wait for one to be sent. It would be nice if staff took more care when packing items so that they don't arrive with pen marks.
Cool &protect sun
I go hiking in the mountains every week, and these clothes are suitable for the hot and intense sun. It blocks radiant heat, keeps me cool when the wind blows, and doesn't stick to my body.
Perfect for backpacking
I bought this for my backpacking trip through the Grand Canyon. It is super lightweight, breathable, and effectively protects you from the sun. I’ve never worn long sleeves on a hot day before and wasn’t sure how warm I was going to get, but this shirt kept me cool and is quick drying which helped a ton with temperature regulation during the hot parts of the day. After this trip, I was only disappointed that I didn’t buy 2!
Soft and cool
Sooo soft! I have a few other sun protection shirts from a different company and this is by far more superior! I love the feel and it doesn’t feel constricting. It is cool to touch! I bought it a little oversized since I like the room. I’m going to pick up another one one size smaller to see how that feels. It makes my runs feel less dreadful in the heat!

Love the fit and function of this. Wore it while out riding my Slingshot for 4 hours on a 95 degree day with bright sun. Kept me cool and protected from the sun. Moisture wicking was great. Can report no sunburn at all. Did not use the hoodie portion, so cannot comment on protection or fit from that. thumb slots fit worked well when I used them.

It super comfy and great at wicking away moisture. Great sun protection too. Added plus is it is able to be tumble dried on low.
