Even better than previous version
I have two of the previous Rover Hoodie and bought the new Rover Merino Hoodie as soon as I saw it at REI. It has double the merino wool content (37% vs. 18%), which makes it slightly heavierweight than the previous version. Perfect for an early morning jog in NorCal ‘winter’ (mid-40s) with a t-shirt. It also has a handy little key pocket too (roughly where your right hand would be if you put your hands on your hips).

Mid-weight, decent features
Janji describes this hoodie as "light-weight", which really isn't correct. Most "light-weight" merino hoodies are a much thinner fabric. I would call this mid-weight, or maybe even heavy-weight. That's not an upside or a downside, but it will impact when wearing this hoodie makes sense for running. I would use this hoodie on a cold day only, not on a warm spring day. The material is pretty nice and seems quite a bit more durable than an actual merino fabric (as we should expect). It's very stretchy, with well-designed thumb loops and a nice little stash pocket that's the right size for a single key or card. The hood is nice for a cold day, and also works well over a running cap.

Fell apart after one run

Great as long as you're not running with a vest. The rubbing of the vest will end up fraying the fabric. I've never had this happen with any other running clothes. Ended up taking it back.

Amazed

I’m not kidding when I say that this product amazed me. It’s a midweight piece that’s comfortable to wear over a range of temperatures, in my case, from the mid 40s through low 70s, with a Merino T-shirt under it. I was on a hike in high winds and bright sun, and this hoodie kept the wind out as well as the sun. it became the shirt I reached for every day.

For all activities, fall to spring.

Great slim fit (so size up if you want it a little looser). Warm but breathable. The hood is great, as you can wear/remove as you see fit and don't have to figure out where to put it in the middle of your run. Also just excellent to lounge around in on a crisp day.

I like this. I recommend.

Multiuse. I like the fit, the style, the performance. Ran it multiple times prior to use. This hoodie + base layer = comfortable runs at 30-45 degrees. Quality product, I expect to hold up well.
