Forgot I was wearing them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed these shorts. First impressions out of the package were they looked too small and really flowy, resembling a tennis skirt. However, when I put them on, they looked and felt great. The basic black was perfect for my style, so I could pair it with my reflective bright tops for night runs. The length was short but not too short. I don???t think I would go shorter, but the length was comfortable. The fabric was very lightweight. It wasn???t noisy and felt like nothing was there. That was my favorite part-by far. I felt free and not hindered by fabric. I forgot I was wearing them! I personally wouldn???t change anything about these shorts.

Solid Running Shorts, But They Run Short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I got these shorts I was really excited to try them on and see if they could become part of my regular rotation. As an avid runner and person who likes to exercise, you can never have too many shorts! Overall, I liked the color and the softness of the fabric was exactly what I look for in a pair of shorts. However, these shorts run tight and very small. I ordered a size "small" and they felt more like an extra small, which made it...uncomfortable at times when running. Over time you get used to the feel of a short that fits in such a way, and they do feel like quality shorts that have good durability in various conditions, but if I had to do it over again I'd order at least 1 size up.

Great Racing Solution

These solve the huge problem of longer races: gel storage: I can get 6-8 gels in and a 350 ml up front, enough to get through a marathon or 50k with minimal refueling. If not packed full of gels, I can get my plus size iPhone in the back with zero bounce to ditch the vest for shorter trail runs. Really amazing shorts, and the only type of belt I used that really holds a lot without any bounce. You do have to wear them pretty high waisted, and they’ll feel pretty tight to really be used as intended. Amazing for racing, literally BEGGING Brooks to put this waist band on a 3 in split short to finally give us a high storage short for road marathons

Strangely Sized Shorts with Good Weight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These 2 in 1 shorts include a tight under layer with a loose, significantly shorter outer layer. The material is very comfortable: the under layer wicks away sweat perfectly and stays in place, feeling exactly like tight running pants (but short on the leg). The outer layer is very light and is hardly detectable in weight. The color is classic and the branding is subtle, making this something that anyone would feel comfortable in any workout situation. My only complaint is that the sizing seems off. The adult small size runs extremely small, with the under layer being extremely tight and the material ending very high on the thigh. Additionally, the outer layer is significantly shorter than the under layer: it is unavoidable that the tight under layer will protrude.

Comfortable but runs small

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are designed well and are made of great, durable material. The breathable, mesh fabric is what I love most, it is sweat resistant and keeps me cool while running. It is very stretchy which gives a full range of motion without feeling restrictive at all. Being that I enjoy water hiking, the fact that these are water resistant is a big plus for me. The four pockets around the waist are strategically placed and perfect to hold anything you might need, although they are a little on the small side. Another great feature is the boxer-brief like lining which prevents chafing, although I don't love the look of it. As a taller, heavier person, these shorts were a little too short for my liking as well as a bit tight, but all in all, I would say they are super comfortable and airy, made of great quality, and well designed.

The material feels great and fit is perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They're fantastic for runs, going to the gym, track workouts, etc. Basically, if you like the Fast & Free shorts, you???ll like these ones too. I love the front design of these shorts. It is very stretchy which gives a full range of motion without feeling restrictive at all. The fabric is extremely light and comfortable. It has a wide band that has a drawing string on it. I would recommend these shorts as they are made of great quality, and well design.

Amazing storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great shorts, I really like all the features; I found the fit a bit strange. The 4.5” waistband that contains all of the pockets is not super stretchy and feels a bit snug to me. I usually wear a 29” waist pants and I got a size small in these shorts. The hips and the liner fit great and allow for unrestricted movement like intended, but the inflexible extra wide waistband made me wonder if I should have sized up. I love the pockets all around, they are easy to use and the things inside do not bounce or move around. It is so much better than wearing a separate belt to carry stuff. The material is super soft, but tough feeling at the same time and does a good job of repelling water. Overall, I will definitely wear these shorts for their ability to store so much and their comfort of movement. I would guess that I will get used to the waistband, it is just a little different than I have worn before.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using these as my go to running short for the last 5-6 runs, and really enjoying the product. Really impressed with the quality, fabric, feel, and functionality. Very snug and comfortable with no chaffing. I like the built in pouches in the wast line if i need to bring a phone or keys/wallet. Will continue to use these often.

My New Favorite Pair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These training shorts are definitely going to be my new go to! I love the breathability of the boxer brief liner and it makes the overall fit and training much more comfortable. The material is great for those really intense workouts/runs and the moisture wicking properties are very impressive. The overall feel is still very light when wet. Lastly the 360 pocket was a gamechanger! It took a moment to register where the access points were and just how many of them there are! They've comfortably held a phone and earbuds without feeling uncomfortable on me and staying motionless and secure when running or moving a lot. I will definitely be filling the rest of the pockets with various items as needed! Overall I would certainly recommend this pair to anyone who is looking for a lightweight and moisture wicking fabric for running and general working out. My favorite features are the comfortablility of the shorts and inner liner and of course the 360 pocket! I only wish more shorts would have this feature!

Fabric Feels Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plenty of details on these shorts. Just like their shoes, Brooks has a great product here. The liner fits well, not too tight, but also not saggy. The outer layer is soft and light. Multiple fabrics used in construction, but all the blacks match. Haven’t trained in the rain with them yet, they might hold water, but haven’t noticed sweat hanging around. The waist line is the best part. It has a wide band that has a draw string in it, as a skinnier runner, this allows me to know my waistline isn’t moving around. The waist area also has punches all over for keys or your phone. Pretty sure the smaller pouches are for goop, so they would be great for race day or longer training runs. Wish I had them for my last mud run!
