Two pockets are better than one!
Comfortable feel and fit. Having two pockets (where many others have one), one on each side comes in very handy. I can fit my phone and two or three larger gels in one pocket, and two or three larger gels in the other pocket, thus I have everything I need for a 20+ mile long run or full marathon distance. Even with both pockets full, I don't even notice that I have anything in the pockets. I usually wear a double pouch spy belt to hold my phone and 6 Gu Liquid Energy gels (which are 40% larger than the average gel) for 24-26 miles, and these short tights with their two pockets are capable of holding the same items, thus no more belt. These are what I plan on wearing at this years Boston Marathon.
Too tight
I picked up at the store, tried them on, and I returned them immediately. Too tight. I’m sure the quality is fine, but the fit wasn’t for me.
Almost Perfection
For those of us who have to carry a marathon worth of gels and stuff, these are one thing away from perfection... a liner. Otherwise, these check every other box that I could want. A draw string to adjust them, big stretchy pockets to hold gels, and they dont ride up. They're just not comfortable without something under them, but putting a pair of boxer briefs underneath is a bit redundant. A liner that holds things in place without the need for an underlayer and I'd buy enough of these to last a lifetime.
Great fit + performance, Phone won't fit in pocket
I bought these along with the Swiftland equivalent. These fit well, no pulling/ tugging/ chaffing/ creeping up, etc. Very comfortable, but only have used for short runs so far. Darker color doesn't highlight your junk. I would definitely buy again, but I'd need another of those 20% off coupons to do so, since they're a little steep. Only downside would be the pocket -- I don't run with my phone, but it doesn't fit if I did (Pixel 6Pro) -- it's too narrow. It would be OK for gels, slim wallet, etc.
9" running tights worth the money
Was not sure what to expect with these tights as I read so many cheaper amazon tights with phone pockets that sagged after a few runs or the phone bounced around. Ive been Extremely happy with these tights. I do wear shorts over top unless im running a race or tri. They are very comfortable. Very. The pockets have lasted after 12 runs and counting. One pocket holds my i phone with my strava app running and the other my Gu. I dont need anything else. Im actually on here to buy another pair. Happy trails.
Pass on these
Got them in grey, and I won’t be using them for their intended purpose. The fabric is pretty thin therefore you can see everything under the shirts with clear outline/definition. I’ve been wearing half tights for years, so I’m no stranger to tight/revealing running gear, but these seem more like liners than an exterior layer. I’ll use them under other shorts for gym workouts or nighttime runs. Truthfully, I wouldn’t want to run into someone I know while wearing these. They’re comfortable though.
Obviously quality, but I really enjoyed the previous Green Light, the fit, and particularly the waist band. This model has a definite, firm stitch on the waist band, 1" from the top of the waist, which does nothing for me, although possibly others prefer this. The Green Lights never were too loose in the waist or slipped down, just super comfortable, a nice give everywhere in the short. I believe this model is a hair snugger all around compared to the previous model.
NO Support for Huevos
Material is very nice. Pockets are nice. However, there is ZERO support for the boys. My stuff just spilled over and stuck to my legs. I didn't even take the tags off because I can't imagine running in them. If they put a liner in these, not only would it help support, it would also give a little privacy. You can see everything as they are currently. Wouldn't recommend if your huevos need support. I would totally buy if they made the correction of adding a liner.
Very happy with the purchase
I received the shorts and they were "as advertised". The fit was exactly as described. I almost hesitated to purchase them based on a review I read. It indicated the pockets failed when the reviewer put his phone in the pocket. No such issue on my part and that includes the protective case that covers my phone. It was snug and has no movement in the shorts while I run which means I can run comfortably without strapping the phone to my arm or leave it behind.
Sleek, supportive, solid storage
Excellent construction and fit. Dream to run in, especially on hot days. No chafing!!! Pockets hold my key fob, small wallet, iPhone 12 Pro, and a mask with no jiggling or shifting. I resisted getting compressive shorts due to modesty concerns, but needn't have worried with these. Fabric is sufficiently thick and supportive and when sized correctly nothing flops around or otherwise calls attention to itself. Speaking of which, I have a 33" waist and the standard size chart pointed me to Medium (which is what I wear in "regular" running shorts most of the time). When I tried that size, it was fine, but there was some slippage on long runs that was annoying. I sized down to a Small and it was a much better fit. If you're used to standard running short sizing, you might want to consider going down a size with these types of shorts.
