I am an elementary school art teacher and am on my feet for several hours a day walking around my classroom. These sneakers provide great support and comfort for my feet. This is my second pair of Salomon's and they don't disappoint. The bungee lace is quick and convenient for when I want to take them off quick at the end of the day. I recommend sizing up half a size. I am an 8 in most shoes, but wear an 8.5 in Salomon's.

I haven't worn these in the rain yet, but kept dry walking thru wet grass on soccer field -comfortable and breathable (my feet did not get hot/sweaty as some people report in waterproof shoes) - good sturdy tread and anti-slip without weighing a ton - nice toe protectors, love the quick lace (they pull nice and tight and stay there and I like the tongue storage for the toggle), nice enough looking if that's your thing, very roomy box and good support throughout shoe. I have a narrow foot and no one makes women's hiking shoes/boots in a narrow width - I was told Salomon s ran narrow and with the pull tie quick lace they do the trick for me (and believe me I have tried a lot of medium width shoes what would never work!)!

I love this shoes! Wore them to hike Mt Elbert in Colorado which is over 14k feet high. It took me around 6 hours to climb up the mountain and around 4 hours to climb down. The weather was cold, around 30F and my feet remained warm and dry even after stepping on water at the beginning of our hike. They have great grip. No break-in period was necessary in my case. I had only wore this shoes for a small hike in the Italian Dolomites before hiking Mt Elbert. My husband has the male version of this shoe and he also loves how comfortable they’re.

These shoes are very comfortable and look nice. Great quality! I will say they run a little bit on the big side. All of my shoes are a size 7, so that’s what I purchased in. They are slightly big. I can easily fit my finger in the shoe behind my heel. If you are in between sizes, definitely go to the lower size.

Unfortunately, the right shoe is smaller than the left shoe. The left fits perfectly but they are different in size. I need to return them.

I did not get a chance to wear these in wet conditions so I cannot comment on their waterproofness. I wore them for the first time on a 20 km hike with 3000 foot ascent on mixed terrain and did not get blisters despite my heal having up/down movement in the shoe. I bought size 11 and found them to be very bulky and too wide but I do have a narrow foot. I’m not sure if I am a fan of the laces, I felt like I couldn’t get a tight fit and I prefer traditional laces because I can utilize different lacing techniques to get a better fit for my foot shape. Also, the laces had too much length for me and stuck past the front of the toe. I wouldn’t buy these again. It’s probably a good fit for someone with a high arch and wide foot.

Quality shoe - tricky fit

This is a good quality, more rigid structure shoe, great for walking and lighter hiking. I struggled with getting the right fit and finally after two online purchases and returns, I got the right size. I used the sizing guide which said I should order a 9.5 but the 9.5 and the 9 were both too big. The 8.5 is good, and I should have ignored the sizing guide and got that size from the start because I’m typically an 8.5-9 in other shoes. I would like to see some better shaping in the structure of the shoe so that it hugs and tightens around my foot better as I’m still feeling a bit of movement around the heel which on a longer walk our hike I imagine would give me blisters. But so far so good with a thick sock. I love the waterproof shoes - feet feel nice and warm and dry.

Okay, now that winter is over, both my husband and I are planning on hiking pretty much every free weekend we can grab! Saw this pair of hiking boots, couldn’t decide between the blue or the other color. . Love the shoes, very very comfortable. Took it hiking and it did not disappoint. One of the things that I love about Salomon shoes is that there isn’t any time period to “break in” period on their shoes! The moment you start wearing, it pretty much confirms to your feet. That is why I only buy Salomon shoes

I've come to trust Salomon's fit: roomy toe space and snug hugging of my mid foot and heel and the X Ultra 360 CSW does not disappoint. It took a few days before I figured out the lacing, as it has to be pulled very tight to prevent my feet from slipping. As the inside material is not smooth, I have to wear thinner and very well fitted socks to be able to step in and out. Other than that, they feel very supportive and keep my feet from supinating.

They fit my feet like a glove. A little stiff at first since the upper material is thick, but after a few wears they mold to my feet. The support is awesome. Since I was new to this lacing system, it took me quite a while to get used to it. The cord is strong and thin and is still hard on my hands. They have kept my feet dry in rain and puddles.
