Almost perfect

This tent is my first ultra light tent and super excited by the size that packs down. I bought the 2p tent so i could keep my pack in the tent with me. I 6' 1" and 250 lbs so theres no way it would fit another person in there with me. I like how easy it is to setup and feels very durable. the only thing I would of liked was for the rainfly to go lower. I was camping in a very windy area and sand was constantly blowing into the tent.

Good, but…

I find the tent very good once it is pitched. But, it is difficult to get the tension correct on the corners that don’t get support from the poles. They always seem to sag in towards the middle. Another big gripe is that the ends of the poles stay in the black plastic inserts when you try to remove them. The poles separate more easily than they come out of the black plastic holders. This really makes taking the tent down difficult. I really like the tent once it’s pitched, no complaints. Materials are great, ventilation is good, very roomy. But set up and take down could see some improvements.

Just a Great Tent - Solid Design & Great Features

I took this out on a Georgia section of the AT last weekend. Following well known advice, I set this up for the first time in the dark and it could not have been easier. The pole structure in the tent is strong as well as easy. The fly fits very tight with an intuitive setup. The high bathtub style floor does not get enough credit - it is well above splash height but still leaves a gap for ventilation. I love the upper gear bin in the tent made possible by the spreader bar. Nemo, just a great solid tent with a simple effective design - great work!

Mayfly Osmo - Great value for a higher end tent

I bought the 2P first, and was so happy I bought the 3P as well so I can take my kids with me! Awesome tent!

Lower price, but loaded with new features

This tent is a fantastic addition to the Nemo lineup. While it's not the lightest, it's still a lightweight backpacking tent and it has some great features. The floor feels very sturdy and I love that because I prefer to not pack a footprint. I feel confident that this tent floor will still last a long time with proper care and site selection. I'm also a big fan of the upgraded hardware for inserting the bottom of the poles and cinching down the rainfly, it feels super sturdy and robust, without being too heavy. This is the first semi-freestanding tent I've owned and, while I'd prefer a freestanding tent, I wouldn't want this tent to be any heavier, so I'm fine with accepting that the corners need to be staked out, it saves on pole weight and works well.

Best tent I have ever owned.

This tent is outstanding! It is easy to set up and light. I like that the base is more robust then other lightweight tents. It is easy to put back into the sack and all the components seem exceptionally well thought out. It is very clear that Nemo took their time with this design and made it as practical as possible. It had my backpacking partners impressed as well. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this tent again. Hopefully it will hold together for many trips to come.

Lightweight, easy to set up and comfortable.

Took this backpacking for the first time last weekend and it held up well in the light rain and high winds. I took longer stakes because of a wind advisory and those MSR groundhog stakes did great, but the included Nemo stakes (while nice compared to others) got pulled out of the ground by the wind. Granted, I'm no expert, so it could have been my user error, you know? No leaks and no condensation. And while I was concerned about wind blowing rain under the scalloped rain fly, the tent held well. I love how light the tent is but it still feels solid enough that I don't treat it like it's fragile. The two doors and vestibules are pretty great and the height was comfortable where I could sit up and change and hang out inside while allowing the rain to pass. Two people would be tight in this tent. I got it mainly for one person, but fitting two in a pinch for Scouting activities. Set up is easy because the hooks are color coded to match the poles, and one side is for the head and the other end is for the foot, though in the wind it's a big challenging to get that rainfly on. I like the locking system they use to connect the rainfly to the tent. Seems thoughtful and high quality. While it would have been great for it to be freestanding, I wanted something lightweight and am glad to give up some of that structure to save the ounces. Overall, as a newbie backpacker, I really like this tent!

Great for backpacking

I recently used this on a 2-night backpacking trip into the Sierras. While a short trip with relatively mild weather, a few things about this tent stood out. Although this is a 2P, like most backpacking tents, this is really a 1P with storage room. With my 25" pad, there was ample room to stretch out and keep my pack in my tent instead of my vestibule. I'm sure you could fit 2 people in here with 20" pads but it would be really tight. The materials and set up were really easy. I prefer a double wall tent vs single wall, even with the weight penalty, simple because of ventilation and condensation issues. I also had great weather on my trip and was able to sleep without the rainfly on one night. I'll be using it more this fall season and will assess how it does under different weather conditions. So far, I've enjoyed it and am impressed with the design and quality of construction.

First Tent!

Took it on a car camping trip in the White's to try it out. Was not as insulating as I expected (outside temp 30 degrees F - inside temp 35 degrees F). Yet it was super roomy for two people and backpacks! Pretty easy set up and everything felt very durable!

Great Tent for Backpacking

Finally able to get back to deep woods hiking and backpacking. Nemo has also shown to have great products. The tent was light, compact and took very little space in my pack. Was easy to set up and fit perfectly among the trees.
