Ice Boots
I really like these and would recommend. Very comfortable, very warm, good quality, good ice traction, easy to slip on, and lighter than typical winter boots. After reading reviews I bought 2 sizes up (8 normal size, bought 10), mostly for being easy to slip on and wanted them slightly big. Glad I did that, go atleast 1 size larger than normal.
perfect for a truck driver in Michigan winters
Warmest boot I’ve had in the winter time in the 11 years I’ve been a truck driver. And the 8 years I’ve been working on a refuse truck. With my Reynolds disease, keeping my toes warm is crucial. Match this with a pair of darn tough socks and my rei co-op liners, the Michigan chill ain’t getting my toes anymore 👌👌 Also.. these are def not small, I followed the reviews and bought a size up, had to return them :/ with thick socks these fit me perfectly, whereas my adidas terrex free hiker and rain rdy shoes/boots have ran smaller lol So I’d say these were true to size for me, if not a little big if not for my thicker socks
Extreme lightweight, comfort &cold Protection!
Well, this is the warmest lightweight winter boot I have ever owned. I Wish it would’ve been around a long time ago growing up in Alaska Where I grew up. Very comfortable no insulated pieces to pull in out weatherproof and so comfortable! Great treads that do not slip on the ice and snow!
Casual around town boot.
Great for wearing around town if you live in a cold, snowy climate like Minnesota. Owned for a couple month so far (since 12/2022). With more than 6 inches of snow and you'll want something taller, as snow will creep in. Pros: They are essentially water proof sneakers / slippers. Super light weight and have a comfortable fuzzy liner. Seem durable and high quality. Cons: The boot form is a bit narrow for my foot. If I was walking more than 3 miles it would likely become an issue. The lace on the boot is more decorative as it doesn't really tighten. However, the boot is already snug, so not a big deal. I had higher expectations on the ice grip tech, ice is still pretty slippery. Perhaps the grip tech works better in temps above 0-10 degrees F...we'll see when the time comes. Happy with the purchase for my use case!
Warm, but not good for ice
First off if you are going to buy these, size up. I usually wear an 11.5 in most brands and with these I've got a 13. Second, while these will definitely keep your feet warm, they will not help you on the ice. I live in an area that gets a lot of winter weather and these things are just as slippery as any other shoe on the ice. I don't necessarily blame XTRATUF for this... I don't know what I expected either... the only material I've found that really grips ice is going to be metal. Third, if you are walking in any fresh snow you're going to get it inside of your shoe. The way the laces are designed make it impossible to tighten around your ankles. When cinched the laces ride up above the lip of the shoe (if that makes sense). Overall pretty disappointed in this. 2 stars for warmth and they look decent. Functionally not great.
Nice but too small
Nice boots but they fit too small and are very difficult to put on. The opening does not stretch enough to allow for your heel to easily slide down the back of the boot. To get these boots on, I need to put on my thinnest socks, sit down and pull with both hands on the back tab while pressing down at the same time. The boots are ok once on but way too much hassle to get them on. These will be my last pair
Hot and Small
If you need footwear that will keep your feet warm, look no further. Their traction is also excellent. I wear size 10-11, so I ordered one size large (12). My foot fits snugly (too snugly) and the footwear is hard to slip on. I don't know what the strings are for. They are a distraction and I tossed them into the trash. What a waste, as I could find no purpose, except to add to the expense. These are stylish, and a complete stranger commented as to how I'm the "sultan of style." Too hot and they don't breath. If you have the luxury of taking your boots off, such as on a plane or on an aircraft, then these should be acceptable. I plan to order another pair two sizes too large this next time. The other pair will be used in emergencies, as I don't really like wearing them. My 60 year old arthritic fingers hurt trying to pull these onto my feet. I saw the review that these run large, but that was not my experience.

These are the Hybrid I always wanted!
These shoes are dope! So warm and cozy! Easy to get in and out of. My only recommendation is to go a size up from your normal Xtratufs. The insulation makes them a little more snug. If you can't try em on in person and are ordering online then trust me. You're gonna want a size bigger. Otherwise they are awesome! Great for fall days in Seward!
Hello Tim and thank you for providing us your review. We are happy to hear you are satisfied with the boots you ordered and we hope you continue to be an XTRATUF supporter!
Sizing is off, on the the best slip on made
The sizing on the boots is off. The size11, is more like a narrow men's 8.5 - luckily I have a friend that fit into them and literally said they are best boot ever but the sizing has to get fixed for all to enoy
Men’s ankle deck boots
I’m sure everyone is having a hard time putting on these boots, simple solution: find a 10-12 inch dowel, thread thru loop in back, and pull straight up!!! Boot will slip right on!!! GENIUS!!!!
