Love Xtra Tuf hate the durability
I have been wearing Xtra Tufs daily 6 months or more out of the year for well over 15 years. I love them. Unfortunately with each passing pair (and there have been a lot) the durability just keeps getting worse. Not Xtra Tuf any longer. Please return to making the quality boots we love.
poor quality
Boot appeared to be made with inner liner for a larger size. The inner part did not fit and was crudely hacked off where it extended beyond the outer shell. The extra material on the inner liner extended as much as 1cm past the weld point running down the back of the calf, leaving an unglued flap inside the boot. Foot bed was about 2 sizes too large and would not fit and lie flat. Honestly, it looks like whoever made the boot just doesn't care. The defects were clear and obvious and I mean "square peg, round hole" obvious. There is NO WAY this boot could have passed an inspection so I assume there is no quality control going on at your factory.

Always dry feet
Fantastic boots to launch boats, launched 60 this spring with dry feet
Bad quality yet again
I bought a pair of boots and after the liner tore out swore I would never buy another pair ,I decided to take a risk and buy a pair of insulated boots ,and its been disappointing, the welt keeps un gluing ,so I have to glue it with rubber cement I realize all they care about is profit but rather than closing down the factory and offshoring it to make substandard boots actually make a quality line of boots I was told return them after 1 month .I need the boots for work I never leave bad reviews as I feel its bad kharma but I am very disappointed
Don't size up!
I sized up after reading some reviews saying to, but that was a mistake! What was worse was the process I had to go through to do an exchange, which is why I gave them a lower rating. If you have to exchange your boots, its a hassle. It took me several weeks of going back and forth with their support until I finally got the correct refund and the boots in the correct size. The boots are great, but dealing with support for an exchange made me hate the boots! If you want to tuck your pants into these boots, you might want to opt for the wider style they have out now. These ones are pretty tight on the calf.
Good shoes!
I ordered these for my husband and he loves them. He bought me a pair for Christmas and once it was the season to wear mine and he saw just how much I loved them, he wanted some too. We've live in Rural alaska for 10 years so it was about time for us. These shoes are so practical for break-up and rainy months, and fit comfortably and don't make my feet hot. I would suggest if you are a half size to go up, hubby is 9-9.5 and I got him a 10; I'm a 7.5 and I wear an 8. The overall quality is great. The shoes seem a little greasy at first but once broken in that goes away. Thanks for making such. Great shoes.
Best pair of boots I’ve owned!
I’ve owned several pairs of boots but these are easily the best! Very comfortable, easy to style, and fun to wear. Great to wear on muddy walks. Would highly recommend.
Greenmountain23, Thanks for the review! Also the picture looks great! We love to see the adventures people take with their boots!
BEST RUBBER BOOT AROUND!
Best rubber boot! I bought them for a fishing trip in Alaska and also have been wearing them as muck boots. Very comfortable too.
Hello Trevor and thank you for providing us with your review. We are happy to hear you are satisfied with the boot you purchased, and we hope you continue to be an Xtratuf supporter!
Nothing but the facts
I bought these to work in a brewery. Boots fit true to size. The material has some stretch in it that allow people with hobbit feet to "thunk" down into the heel. Very heat resistant, not so good with cold. I understand they aren't insulated, but I feel cold water on the boot almost instantly. Handles very well on most wet/chemical covered surfaces. Definitely wouldn't try being overly nimble in these when you don't have alot of surface area to stand on (e.g. climbing into the mash tun or kettle via the stainless steal railing to scrub them out.) All in all these boots do exactly what I need, and I look good wearing them. I haven't quite justified the price point to myself because it was not a sober purchase. Cheers!:beers:
Way too tight!!
I made the switch from the women's salmon sisters since I just wanted the plain interior and I am really disappointed in the quality of these boots. I had to get the size 5 in men's and the calf is WAY too small, and it's not like I have abnormally huge calves. They are so tight on my legs that the rubber is creasing and has almost completely worn through in several spots, just from light wear. I can't wear pants underneath and they are insanely uncomfortable. I can only wear them rolled down. I have only had them since ~September of last year!! I am used to the salmon sisters boots lasting at least two years, which isn't ideal but this is simply ridiculous. I was looking forward to using them during my field work but I will likely look elsewhere.
