Comfortable
Purchased these boots last winter, regular use nothing over the top. Didn’t use them much this summer. Pulled them out in fall to find they have stress cracks over typical flex points. Not waterproof anymore. Expect more for the money..
Ehhh
Had these for about 6 months and no longer waterproof after normal use
Big price, little value
These suck. Not in a good way. They lasted less than 2 weeks walking around town. Forget about wearing them in an actual wheelhouse. Seems like Xtratuf isnt making gear for actual fishing or actual work anymore. the last for xtratuf boots Ive bought Ive been disappointed with. I guess theyre keeping the caulking industry alive. 3M giving you guys any kickbacks?
Bad Cracks
Bad Cracks. These boots cracked on both sides at the step
Great boot, but will only last one year at most
Bough these about 16 months ago to have a fishing and rain boot. Were fitting and comfortable enough to get slop work as well as multiple hours of standing on deck in. However, once the snow came, the boots (both) cracked on the top of the toe and became useless. Part of the reason why I bought these were to have an indestructible pair of rubber boots, so I’m disappointed to say the least. The warranty on these is kind of disappointing considering that they are just a piece of molded rubber. Very sad that I will have to find rain boots elsewhere.
Well built boot just doesn't fit
The new design looks to be an improvement with on an already excellent deck boot they just didn't fit. I am a 10.5-11 but have a slightly narrow foot (technically a D width but barely). First I order the 10s like suggested and my toes were hitting the front of the boots so I sent them back. Ordered 11s and they were way too big. They are much wider than normal deck boots and my heel was just lifting up every step I took. Felt like My foot was swimming in them. So the 11s had to go back too. I will end up ordering my 3rd pair of normal deck boots in 11s. These will most likely fit someone who is a true whole size like 9, 10, 11. If your a half size it's a crap shoot but worth trying on. I wish the return/exchange processes was a little faster but it's free so I can't complain too much.
Great for farming, too!
I bought these to wear for farm/garden work, and general chillier canoe mornings. After a few weeks of wear, they've proven themselves in a few conditions. I've worn them for all-day farm work in hot sun and they've kept me cool (more so than my leather work boots I was previously wearing), they've withheld rain and some soaks from the hose, and while running errands. They're very sturdy, comfortable, and do what they're supposed to do. Good job.
Sole disconnected after 30 wears
I work as a plumber and split days between this pair and another pair of boots from a different company. Even giving this pair a day per week advantage of 3 days a week, times 10 weeks... that's only 30 wears. I'm pretty disappointed in this boot. I wouldn't expect to see the sole disconnecting like is after such a short period of time.
Cracked and leak within 2 months.
The worst pair of boots I've ever owned. I am a fishing guide and would wear these boots when not fishing. I happen to walk in a puddle and found a leak in the bens of the toe that spit open. Both are now cracked in the same spot. Not worth warranting then cause I have lost faith in Xtratuf products
Still the best!
This was the second pair purchased for my son. He has always been hard on shoes and these amazingly lasted 2years with him! Now he’s got pair #2, let’s hope they last that long as well. He wears them out casual (I swear he started the trend around here), duck hunting, fishing, work, etc.
