Makes chasing robbers so much fun....
this is about these oboz slippers that fit, feel and are just so good...with real time use. I ran down an attempted robbery subject in them. laying in bed, our door camera showed a masked male trying to break in. these slippers were so easy to slip on, I jumped up and on the chase...these slippers fit so comfortably snug, they stayed on with no problems for the three quarter mile chase. if they can handle this chase, they will be great at what others might. wear them for.
Comfortable toebox, but hard permanent insoles
Just received these, so my review is based on wearing them around the house for a couple of days. I'm looking for car camping slippers, something to slip on and keep my feet warm between the restrooms, tent, and campfire. I'd maybe wear them around the house a bit or for quick grocery runs, or to chase the occasional robber, of either the furry or naked varieties. First impressions. Pros: the contoured, wide toebox is fantastic (I'm an Altra Lone Peak fan), and the elastic cuff makes them easy to put on at the expected size. Outer materials are high quality, although the rubber soles might wear quickly walking on a lot of cement. Cons: they're not as puffy and insulated as you might expect from the photos, but they'd still be appropriate for shoulder seasons with a warm pair of socks underneath. And then the main reason I dock a star, and would have considered only 3 stars had they not otherwise been so comfortable, is the permanent insoles are very firm and particularly hard under the forefoot. You'd quickly get sore from walking on rough rocks or any very hard surfaces. The insoles are not removable, so you couldn't replace them, and the gap around the inside perimeter would be prone to collecting dirt, grime, and pebbles. Yet to decide whether to keep these. Wouldn't be my first choice for grocery store runs or any significant amount of walking, but could be alright for the campsite.
Great slippers
Searched through the available slippers after my 20 year old Sorels just about fell apart. Settled on the Oboz but because they were only available online, had to try some other shoes by them to get a sense of their fit. I am often a half size, but these came only in full sizes. The full size just larger than my half size was perfect. The slippers provide the support needed to take the dog out in the yard at night before bedtime. Hopefully they will last as long as the Sorels did!
For Wide feet
If you have very wide feet and like high inflexible arch support, these may work for you. If you do like the fit and feel they just might be worth $100, but that’s very debatable. Recommended trying them on in store before buying if possible
Very difficult to get on and off
Terrible fit, has a rigid band across top of foot that made it almost impossible to get on and cut into my foot once it was on. Not comfortable at all.
