Supportive Slipper, just a little itchy

Over-all very happy with this purchase. I have to wear orthotics or a supportive sandal like a Birkenstock all of the time on my feel. This is the first slipper that I have found that gives that support and doesn't slide off of my foot, while keeping my foot comfortable when it is cold out. The liner is wool so for some this might feel very scratchy or itchy which is why I took the one star off, however for someone like me that has sweaty feel, this has been a good thing too.

The impossible slippers I needed.

This slippers are incredibly comfortable for my fussy feet. My fussy requirements include: rigid soles, ample toe box, and arch support--not easy to find in a cozy slipper. These nailed it! I will wear them all winter long even for occasional forays out of the house.

Comfortable and well-constructed

This was my first Birkenstock purchase, very happy with them. They are comfortable for all day wear - solid footbed, tough outer sole if you need to step outside. They're not going to be the super warm ones for a cold winter climate, but if you want a comfortable, easy to slip on/off, well constructed slipper you can wear inside all day and can go outside with if needed, these are great.

Slippers with Birkenstock Soles = the Perfect Comb

I abso-freaking-lutely love these slippers! The lining is super soft and super warm, but the real benefit is the Birkenstock soles. I can never get the right size in slippers. I'm weird in that one foot is about half a size longer than my other foot. I don't know, maybe it's not that uncommon. With other shoes it's never a problem because you just get the larger size and having a little extra room in one is nbd. In slippers it's impossible to get ones that fit. They're either too big and fall off all the time or too small and I'm completely uncomfortable. But, with these the Birkenstock sole adjusts to fit your foot so perfectly over time that I can get the slightly larger size, but it won't fly off my smaller foot. Even if you don't have that problem these slippers are fantastic. Incredibly comfortable and very, very high build quality.

Great for around the house

Good look. Good traction. Good comfort. Better than fuzzier slippers out there as they are good for walking around in and spending many hours straight in them while at home.

Warm and comfortable slippers

These were a gift for my husband and he loves them. Keep his feet warm when he wears them to take our dog outside at night and early morning.

Like a warm Tea cozy for your Toes-ies

Not all Berkie's are created equal. In the past I've had to give away a couple of pairs due to the high arch bed and solid cork platform and narrowish last that would not conform to my foot without some discomfort during a long break in period. But the Zermatt slipper has addressed those complaints of past. A wider last and toe-box is available in the wide version. Using their size guide for foot length the shoe fits as intended. The arch is slightly lower being a 'house shoe' and the toes land solidly in their designated 'pads'. The boiled wool upper combined with the real wool shearling liner makes these extremely warm wearing, definitely not for all-season usage. Overall, light and comfortable and perfect for indoor use. The lightweight outsole would not hold up well outside but that is not the design anyway. I'll happily put these away next spring and look forward to bringing out them out next fall.

Poor design for a high volume foot

The only positive thing I can personally say about these slippers is that they have a good wide toe box. Overall, too tight for my high volume foot, the sole too stiff, and the arch too high. The inside of the toe has a rubber lip that can be felt with the longest toe and it is both distracting and uncomfortable. Cheap look and feel for a premium price.
