Smartwool  Second Cut Fleece Slippers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smartwool gave me this product to test for free. I received these slippers in exchange for an honest review! I like the slippers overall. They are warm! The grip on the bottom is really good, no slipping around at all! Super quiet while walking around too, stealthy! They feel a little small for the size I thought I needed but probably better to have them tighter than too loose. Overall they are really nice slippers! They keep feet warm and not super hot where feet sweat when walking around and when just sitting they keep feet warm! The soles have some padding and are comfortable enough walking around! I'd recommend these if you like warm slippers! They feel like a sock! They are super lightweight too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't owned an actual pair of slippers in years and after wearing these around for few weeks I completely forgot what I was missing. These slippers are so warm and comfortable, and I find myself wearing them often in the mornings and evenings. My 11 year old daughter also swipes them constantly because they are ""warm and squishy"" so I may have to get her a pair at some point. From morning coffee to pre-ride bike maintenance these slippers definitely keep my feet comfortable on chilly mornings. The bottoms are fabric so you'll want to avoid wet surfaces, but the bottoms have plenty of sticky grippy spots to help you avoid slips and falls on smooth surfaces like hardwood floors. My feet fall towards the top end of a size large and I find the length to be just a tad snug so if you are on the top end of the size range like me, you may want to consider jumping up to the next size. They are going to be ideal when we transition from morning bike maintenance to ski maintenance in another month or so! As the temperatures continue to drop, I'm sure I'll be grabbing these more and more as long as my daughter doesn't snag them first. Really like Smartwool products and own several base layer tops, bottoms, and socks. Wear these daily for skiing and cold weather activities. Wanted something cozy for when off the mountain or out of the woods. These are not it. The slipper feels like what you get at the hospital. No cushion sole and a very loose generic foot. I wear a size 12 shoe and ordered the XL, which is supposed to fit up to a size 13. My toes are over the front of the sole and pushing into the front of the slipper. Tried wearing to see how warm my feet would be… again disappointed as the material is very thin could feel the floor and feet never really warmed up. Feels cheap compared to Smartwool products. Runs small. Not a product I expected from the Smartwool brand. Do appreciate the use of scraps and recycled materials Can't recommend.

With winter temps settling in, I noticed that my feet felt colder than usual. If you enjoy slippers and want to try something different, these are great! Shoe size women's EU 39 / US 8 or 8. 5 Ordered size Medium Color: Pacific Blue Wearing with socks, my toe touches the front of the slipper but not in a way that feels uncomfortable or that I notice as I am moving around. If you're concerned, you may want to size up from the chart guidance. ~Coziness enjoys roominess. This product is interesting and worth trying out (your feet can feel the ground but there is still cushion & comfort). Pros: a smartwool second cut product (yay upcycling!) that delivers on maximum coziness. :)

The slippers are big enough, warm enough for cold winter days and have a slight padding underneath so I can't feel the hard-wood floor through the sole. The slippers are super wide. Despite that they are not irritating and don't slide around on my foot. Also, they would be easy to travel with, because they have no 'structure'. Finally I'm very impressed that they are machine washable although I have not washed them yet.

Ok before you read on I want to say that functionally, these slippers are awesome. What follows are areas that could use some improvement. They are just a touch small lengthwise, though hopefully they'll break in fine. I wear I size 10 shoe and got the large. Also, their sole is kinda wide and makes it look weird. I have wide feet and the sides are very roomy so that's nice. Just a tiny bit odd.

I am a female and wear a size 8 1/2 tennis shoe. According to the chart, I was to buy a size large, which I did. The slippers fit well while wearing thick heavy hiking socks purchased from this company. Without the heavy socks these slippers would be too big. Instead of purchasing 2 pairs of large, I wished I'd purchased a large and a medium so I could wear the large with thick heavy socks during the winter and the medium with thin socks during the spring and fall. It's a snowy cold day in Ohio and I have had them on all day and find them comfortable and warm.

The slippers are nice and comfortable. . . . . once you get the correct size. I'm a Woman's shoe size 7. 5 Medium (US size). The Smartwool chart said order a S for Woman's size 7-8. I did and it was too small all around--especially the toe, which touched the front of the slipper. I returned them for a size M, which fits perfect. The slipper packaging included a size chart and I was curious what was printed. Turns out Smartwool flipped the shoe sizes for men and women so everything shown for a Man's size was actually a Woman's size, and vice versa. Ex. , Smartwool said Woman's 7-8 was a Small and Men's 6-7 was a Small. Nope. According to the packaging, a Woman's 6-7 was a Small and a Men's 7-8 was a Small. And a Woman's 7-8 was Medium, which fit me perfectly. Hopefully Smartwool fixes their mistake soon.

Cozy and warm. These are exactly what I have been looking for.

I really like these slippers. I wear a women's 8 in sneakers and a 7 in sandals generally, and the M in these slippers fits ok, but I might be able to wear the S size. I am wearing without socks, but I could definitely fit socks under these. I love that these are wool because synthetic materials make my feet sweaty and clammy over time. I like that these have a slight cushion and a little grip, but are more like socks than slippers. I can keep my feet up on the couch with these and feel comfortable, unlike my slippers with a sole that is annoying when up on the recliner. I also like that these slippers are looser than socks, but stay on my feet well. They are comfortable, breathable, and warm. I would prefer the left and right foot shape over the universal shape for both feet, but it's really not an issue. Definitely recommend.
