The best shoe for trails. Light, responsive, supportive and come in awesome colours. Good in wet, slippery and sand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Catamount 2 Running Shoes is a really cool looking shoe, very comfortable and I felt really well supported while running, which is important to me because I have back problems and it can flare up when running. I think its a cool, sleek design and I really liked the color combination of these shoes. They are lightweight and easy to move in so they’re definitely comfortable for all day wear. My favorite thing about the shoe is the overall foot and arch support it offers, there isn’t much I would change but I would like these shoes in a different color scheme, like black and white, so they would be more versatile for everyday wear.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe exceeded expectations by providing a firm and comfortable fit, true to size. The exterior seemed rugged and well-suited for trails and other terrain. I wore these while running on asphalt, concrete, dirt trails, and the treadmill. The shoe was comfortable at all times. The grip is more aggressive, which I would imagine is well-suited for snow and rain but I have not tested in these conditions. The only suggested improvement is the insole, which lacked enough support. After one run, I replaced the insole with a fleet feet insole which provided perfect support. These will continue to be my go-to running shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these shoes! I have always suffered from shin pain when running for years, which has put me off any kind of treadmill or road training for the longest time. However, after receiving and using these shoes, I have been able to tolerate much longer distances than I have before. They are exceptionally springy and spongey to absorb my heavy steps and are very light and breathable which helps keep my feet cool. The waterproof-like coating is great for running in wetter conditions and the design of the tongue is awesome at keeping splashes away from my socks. Overall, a wonderful pair of training shoes!
I like to run the local trails. Most of them are hilly and rocky. I'll get straight to the point. The Catamount 2 has excellent cushioning and the sizing seems accurate. My chief complaint is its shallow heal pocket. I don't have a particularly wide or large volume foot, it's slightly flat, and I wear custom orthotics. The orthotics take up space in the shoe, resulting in pressure on my instep. You can feel the pressure of the laces on the descent. It's uncomfortable. If you have a small/low-volume foot, this shoe might work. In my case, I will use the Catamount 2 for short and flat trail runs.
Hi all. This is an excellent trail shoe. Light and tough and an improvement over version 1 in my opinion. It is also extremely versatile. It can handle tough terrain, pavement and long distances. Extremely stable for how light it is and they last much longer and are a little bit softer than the previous model. Not a good hiker, use the cascadia for that. I am really enjoying version2 as trainer and racer for any distances including Ultra distances. If I had to change anything I would like to see what a version of this shoe without a rock plate would feel like. I would buy both.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Catamount 2 trail running shoes are extremely comfortable!! I got them in the size 10.5 which is my normal size, and they fit perfect! They have the trail track rubber which makes it easier when running uphill. They grip the ground extremely well! The TPU toecaps and mud guards protect against wet dirt, rock, and debris. They have drainage slits which allows the water to leave quickly to keep your feet dry faster. The ankle support on these is fantastic as well! These are the best pair of running shoes I've tried. The overall quality is outstanding!! If you are looking for running shoes that support the ankles, are very comfortable, and grip the ground really good, I'd definitely recommend giving these a try!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first pair of Brooks and I’m very impressed. They feel very well built all around (including minor touches like the laces), and are very comfortable. The running feel is a nice balance of cushion and stability and they felt great on various surfaces. The traction really stood out to me as well. The little key ring on the tongue was a nice touch too. The fit is a smidge narrow but I quickly got used to it. Otherwise I’d say they run true to size. Probably not the most stylish shoe or colorway out there but the design is still solid. Considering the overall build quality and comfort, it’s a shoe I could wear all day long and certainly makes for a great running shoe as well. Only thing I’d change is different colorways.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Catamount 2 Running Shoes are pretty awesome. I like the color scheme with the brighter blue shade which makes them stand out compared to all the other basic running shoes I own. The fit is true to size and feels comfortable width wise as well. I like that the sole is not to high because I find the thicker soled shoes harder to run in. I mostly run outdoors so these are quite comfortable and have just the right amount of cushion inside. Since I wear a pretty big shoe size, I was expecting these to be bulky or heavy but they’re not. The shoe itself is fairly lightweight and the bottom has good traction which is nice for when I go hiking in hillier terrain. These are comfortable enough for me to wear outside of running, so I utilize them for walks or errands too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These running shoes are amazing! It's like walking on clouds. The color and fit is great. The color and design is vibrant for a fun looking shoes to wear. The mesh at the top is breathable and flexible. Beside the cool look it is also super comfortable. The innersole cushioning is soft and thick for a good springy bounce with just the right amount of arch support. Great shock impact when running on rough trails. Plus I can wear this even for regular wear. Definitely a great pair of sneakers to own.
