Great updates but some major disappointments
I upgraded from a 735xt to the 955 and have been enjoying it overall. Most of the workouts have improved but pool swimming on the 955 is definitely worse. There is no way to restart an interval, and the images and text for equipment no longer come through so I was forced to edit every workout that I had previously made. Also, the screen order (even after changing it in the app) makes the rest screen pop up first, so you have to scroll through every screen after each interval to see the swim workout text.

I'm Loving It!
It's only been a few weeks, but I love my Forerunner! I'm still digging into all the features. The morning report, the run coach, the lightweight, the battery life, and, and, and.... I had other watches and trackers, and they are all gone because my forerunner is the one-stop shop for my training lifestyle.
It is beautiful and packed with great features
Two weeks with the watch and it is exactly what I wanted in terms of race widget, training readiness, touch screen and HRV. I’m still waiting on my HRV report and insights. The morning report is great! Minor details to fix such as heart rate zones mixed up but a software update should solve it.
Excellent update to 945
After a few weeks, I’m loving the much better battery life and excellent GPS accuracy born from the multiband functionality compared to my previous 945LTE.
Way more than I expected…
I went from a FR620 to a FR735XT several years ago to get the wrist heart rate and had been enjoying the watch and its features until I was in a bicycle accident and totally destroyed it. I called Garmin after reviewing the product line and, as I already have an Apple Watch (yes, I wear two watches), I decided to go with the less expensive Forerunner series over the Fenix. Wow! This watch has everything, and the technology seems to have advanced light years. The watch provides suggestions each day on an appropriate workout and keeps track of your "battery." Once you get accustomed to the watch, you realize how intuitive the software is and how much fun this watch is to wear.
955 forerunner
I’m coming from the fenix 6s watch. I absolutely love the forerunner 955. It’s much lighter. The watch band that comes with the 955 is so much better than fenix. Battery life was about 9days on fenix I’m getting between 11-15 days depending how much I use the gps. The touch screen is very responsive. I wish I would’ve started with the forerunner watch series over the fenix. I’ll probably never go back to the fenix line up. And I know I will never own another Apple Watch. Garmin lifer!!!! I love the integration of the app and watch. Much easier to customize to your specific goals and needs.
Nine Five Five
Whoa! What a difference from my 935 and other previous generations of this watch over the years. The 935 was a big change from the previous models, but this! The clarity, the features, and the way the buttons feel. Love the payment and music feature. I used to get annoyed having to hold my phone or if it was in a phone pocket on my shorts and dealing with it randomly switching songs, podcast, etc due to sweat. Now I can leave the phone at home and still have my wife track me for emergencies(hopefully not). And the assistance button on the watch! Love this watch! Wish I would have upgraded sooner! Thank you, Garmin! Looking forward to rocking the fresh white 955 this year while racing!
Too much
I purchased this watch because it had the longest GPS mode battery life. It replaced a five year old Forerunner 245. I don’t listen to recorded music while running, preferring the music of birds, the wind and my heart. This watch every day pops up with “Tip - hold down for music”. And every time I save a run it forces me to select an effort level and a how I feel icon. This is data I am not interested in and it should be easy to tell it not to ask but I have not yet figured out how. The watch is also too big for my skinny runner wrist. I do like the battery life, the touch screen and the spare watch band loop that came with it. Also I find it very cumbersome to create a new activity type versus the old 245.
Amazing watch
Honestly almost no complaints at all with the watch, it's been everything I've wanted and more coming from an apple watch to now this garmin it's been fantastic. The battery life is exceptional and all the running and exercise training metrics help me improve and stay on track more than anything my aplle watch ever could. This watch has helped my improve as a runner and thats not an exageration. Try not to pay too much importance to the performance score updates during your training they can get disheartening at times but just listen to your body the eatch isnt a perfect mesurement of hoe you're doing but it is definetly pretty close haha.
Great Features but Dead Pixels
Bought this watch not too long ago. Features are all you are accustomed from Garmin. Only problem is that I got a spot with dead pixels, not good.
