Tasty but Not for Hiking or Backpacking
These are very tasty however are also very messy. The oils leak through the wrapper and they do not hold up in any kind of heat making them a very greasy mushy mess in your snack bag (while also getting the oils on every other snack in your bag). I'm tempted to give them one more star just for the taste and idea of them (nice to have an energy boost in a sweet treat) but the fact is I'll never purchase them again just because of the mess they made.
Sweet Snack
Nice sweet pick me up, just a hint of espresso. The caramels are actually pretty large, kind of a mouthful but they are tasty. Not sure I would take them out on a trip but nice little treat when you get back to the car.
Perfect for hikes
These caramels were perfect for a fall hike at Clingmans Dome. They stored perfectly in a small pouch in my bag. I was worried they would get too hard with the cold weather. They were great. The taste was exceptional and they lasted long enough to keep my appetite curbed.

I was very impressed with these caramels. They were delicious, and seemed very fresh. I would love to post a picture of them but unfortunately they were eaten so quickly in my house that there’s no evidence remaining. I would definitely buy these again, and I feel confident that if I were to buy other products from the same brand, they would also be very high-quality and worth it.

Most coffee and caramel flavored snacks usually have an overpowering flavor but not these. Grounds and Hounds got the flavor right with just the right amount of coffee flavor and the right amount of caramel flavor. By far the best coffee caramels I’ve ever had.
