Wish the torso was more fitted not just a tube
Im smaller with a wider bust and hips, and I wished that this was a bit more fitted to a woman's body type. I got the small, and usually wear a small or xsmall, and it fits well on the top, it's baggy enough to layer. The bottom of the jacket is tighter on me, to the point that if I'm wearing even thin leggings it zips tight around my waist. I'm returning it for a medium, but know the upper half is going to be huge. I feel like they just used the same fit from the men's version but sized it down. It really needs to have a light curve for women's hips. The torso is just a straight tube. I sometimes have a hard time with sleeves being too tight but this is perfect! And it's the softest fabric ever. Bought for backpacking and I think it will be perfect for that once I get the right fit.
Perfect for those foggy walks on the beach!
Was actually a little skeptical because of the reviews I read and most of them were from people who were on the smaller side and noted slender fit, I am a thicker girl and absolutely love this pullover! So happy I got this I definitely will purchase the coat next I cannot say enough great things about this purchase but thank you 1000x
Why do they discontinue the good stuff?
This is a perfect jacket. The bottom extends beyond the butt; my butt gets very cold and this is a hard feature to find. I am 5'4", 135 and a large is very roomy for a sweater or fleece underneath. I live in Minneosta, so warmth is needed and this anorak-style coat delivers. If it's below zero, you can layer and still be warm - happened last week in our little three-day blizzard. Put a shell over it and it's great in the sleet and cold rain. I think a medium would also fit, but the large is better if you want some room. The zipper is some type of metal-plastic hybrid and seems more durable than cheap plastic. The front pouch does not have a zipper so things may fall out. The sleeves do not have a velcro strap or string to tighten to exact length. The hood is snug as is or can also fit a beanie underneath. All in all, the perfect down anorak. Why discontinue such a perfect thing? :) Not crazy about the color selection but I'm stuck in basic-world. Great coat!!
Awesome coat!
Awesome coat! This is the perfect coat for what I plan on using it for: cold evening walks, camping, long time spent outdoors in the cold for any reason. The length (longer than the jacket, shorter than the parka) is perfect for these activities (camping does especially come to mind), covering most of your rear and generally toasty. It's really a pretty genius design. FTTS--I'm ~134 and the small fits with room underneath for a cozy layer if needed.
Great, unique puffy coat with more coverage
I have two other Cotapaxi coats but wanted something more versatile for backpacking trips with wide temperature swings. I really like this one for backpacking as it is just a little longer for cold nights and mornings or summiting side mountains early mornings, yet it's light and packable. I would prefer the zipper go all the way down, but this way it gives a nice single pocket in front instead, kind of like a hand muff. The side half zipper does make it easy to get on and off, though, so makes up for lack of full zipper. I also like the full coverage hood when it's cold and windy.
Really cool pullover
Love this jacket. I am out every day walking my dogs in Portland, Oregon and this is my go to jacket on cold and even misty mornings. In very light rain the water beads up and I stay dry. I run cold but this is toasty warm and since I got a large, (5’1”, 130 lbs) I can layer if need be. The side zip makes it easy to get off and the front pockets are great. The top zip pocket securely holds my wallet and/or keys. I also really like the length of this jacket, it covers my butt and falls about mid thigh, so it keeps me warmer than the shorter jackets, but allows a lot of leg movement.
The warmest most comfortable jacket
The warmest most comfortable jacket I have ever owned! I love the style and comfort It’s fun and the colors remind me of a sunset:)
Best one
The jacket is warm, comfortable, and pretty. definitely would recommend buying it.
Love except…
I LOVE this pullover. When I tried on the Fuego zip jacket, it was unusually short and the zipper made it tight across the bottom. I ended up buying this pullover style to avoid those 2 issues as the pullover style is longer. Sized up one, fits perfect to allow for layering under. The only issue I keep having is that this pullover jacket has a side zipper (GENIUS!!!!) but it keeps getting STUCK!! Really don’t want to break the zipper on such an expensive jacket but it keeps pulling the jacket into zipper and beyond frustrating. Besides that, it’s great!
Side Stitching Ripped on the First Outing
I love the length of this pullover and that it can be folded into a carrying pocket. Hood and pocket great for backpacking. NOT warm enough for early summer at elevation which is what I purchased it for, and the side stitching ripped the first time it was worn. Trying different items for a month long through hike. I needed a down jacket that would be durable and warm and this did not work.
