Wanted to share what it looked like on barely 5'2" frame, 110 lbs. Bought around Christmas 2024, but didn't have a lot of cold days to wear it as it was a milder winter, but extremely adequate for those colder walks (even overheated). Really like that the outer layer isn't baffled and have received lots of compliments on the green. Took 1 star off as I haven't tried it in sustained PNW rain yet. Held up in a couple of storms so far where I was out for less than 15min.
Amazing! I’ve owned several Patagonia down jackets and have skid with them. Thought they were the best. This parka is amazingly warm. I walked a thousand miles in NYC (it feels like) the last few days and have actually gotten where I had to unzip or take it off. It’s good here and when you catch the windchill….Sheweee. I would totally ski in this and because it unzips from bottom as well you can do it. I’d buy one all over again.
I am 5'8" and 143# and wear a medium in everything. On the size chart for this jacket, I am a perfect medium. So I ordered a medium in carbon and it was way too big! The sleeves hung almost all the way over my hands. The carbon color was VERY dark, almost black, but pretty. I exchanged it for a small, and decided to try the Woods color out of curiosity. The small fits perfectly and I LOVE the color!! It is a very deep/dark olive and it is lovely in person. The mint green zipper adds a bit of interest, as opposed to the carbon, which is all the same color. It is very warm and seems very well made. I think it's the nicest coat I've ever owned! I live in Seattle and this is my new favorite winter jacket. Highly recommend, but order a size down!
I like this parka much more than I thought I would. It’s the warmest coat I have, and it definitely helps protect against wind. Haven’t worn it in more than a sprinkling of rain yet. I bought a large, and it’s generous, but not sloppy. I have room to layer but I don’t look like a Michelin man in it. I normally wear a medium or large top. It was made to move with you, not restricting at all and is quite comfy to wear. The pockets are great too. The one thing I don’t like are the black hand warmer cuffs on the navy coat. I feel like they could have matched with all the other attention to detail. Other than that, I’m very happy with it.
This parka looks amazing, is super comfortable and it is warm but light to carry around. It runs slightly large, I usually order a L in parkas because I hate being wrapped in tightly, and the M in this one fits like a dream. The sleeve elastic is great for keeping cold air out of arms, soft neck is good for not rubbing up against the chin. Pockets have nice flannel inside for keeping my hands warm and they are roomy!!! The inner pockets are a game changer for not having to carry around a purse, and the zipped inner pocket is great for keeping phone and wallet items secure. The fact that you can take off the hood is amazing. Makes it look more sophisticated when you don’t need it.
This coat is almost perfect! It's warm without being too bulky and I love the dark green color! My only complaint is the neck/collar, it's really high and stiff. It comes up to my nose and rubs when it's zipped more than 3/4 of the way up, which in dry midwest winters is quite uncomfortable. I wish they took a note from Marmot and padded the collar with fleece to make it more comfortable. It does run big so size down. I'm 5'3" and 118lbs and the XS still has lots of room to layer.
The Calidez Down Parka is exactly what I was looking for - not too short and not too long. Not too lightweight, but not too heavy. I need a coat for everyday wear in winter in Wisconsin, something I can get in and out of my car, head to the store or the gym, take a walk with my neighbor, and even wear to go hiking in our state parks. Wisconsin is cold, but it’s not the arctic. The parka is surprisingly light weight and very comfortable. And, I like the fact that it doesn’t look like one more puffer jacket. I will say I tried 4 other jackets from very good retailers before finding the Calidez Parka. I’m so glad I kept looking! I’m 5’6”, a bit thick in my middle, 69 years old, and very active. I wear a medium. The green is a great color.
It’s been years since I have a big cozy coat that kept me warm enough without sacrificing style. This coat has even more details than I anticipated and it makes me feel better protected than any (seemingly) comparable coats in my closet. Glad to have it for winter travels!
This is a nice coat. It fits me well and I love the down inside and waterproof outside.
