Great option for being on the water!
One of the things I worry about when wearing sunglasses on the water - kayaking, boating, etc. is that they’ll slip off and get lost in the depths of the water. The Pepper’s Cutthroat Floating Polarized sunglasses are the just the ticket. They are comfortable, have good polarized lenses with great coverage to eliminate the glare you can get around the frames. Whether I was driving, walking the dog, going on a hike, paddling on the water, or just chilling these sunglasses were a great companion along the way.
effective, but not ideal
The key consideration with these sunglasses is the intense color saturation. It effectively eliminates glare and brightens lower light situations (which is a positive in those situations). However, the unnatural color saturation is total and somewhat less than ideal. There are three bands of tinting across the lens, which is not always apparent, but can be a bit distracting when noticed. The bands make sense to decrease glare above and below the primary field of vision, but that is only if you keep your eyes straight ahead. The construction and functionality is superb. It is a snug fit while comfortable and lightweight, which is very beneficial in more vigorous activities. The polarization is complete and the glasses do float in water, which makes these sunglasses great for watersports. Overall, the Pepper's brand construction is excellent. The banded, unnatural color saturation of the lenses, however, does detract from the desirability of these specific sunglasses - unless that is specifically what one is seeking. I would recommend this model in a different lens color, and would most definitely recommend Pepper's brand.
Great polarized sunglasses!
These are great! They are durable, and do a great job cutting through glare on the water! Very lightweight and just become part of your face vs. feeling them on the bridge of your nose. The case that cones with them was very nice, and it was handy to have a lens cloth included as well. These did such a great job enhancing contrast that they even made it easier to drive in the rain! Can't wait until my next pair! P.S. they float!
Great Everyday Sunglasses
The clarity and quality of the lenses is great. I see everything clear and crisp. . Comfortable to wear all day with a very good fit and feel. Was out on the lake over 10 hours yesterday in bright sunlight and windy conditons. I wear them in the yard, driving and cycling. I have the all weather lens which I really like. Protects your eyes from sun damage without being so dark you have to take them off in a shady area. Excellent value.
Weird lenses
These glasses are awful. The lenses are some weird shutter view that create bad distortion to your view and limited sun/glare protection. Had a bad experience with Costas as well since they were bought out, no customer service.
