HOW TO MEASURE:
Neck: Around the fullest part of the neck, at the base.
Chest: Around the chest, just under the arms and across the shoulder blades.
Sleeve: From the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, and down the arm to the wrist.
Waist: Around the narrowest part of the waist.
Hip: Around the widest point of the hips.
Inseam: From the crotch to the anklebone on the inside of the leg.

I'm only 5'6" and these pants are at least 2 inches too short. According to the size chart the inseam on my mediums should be 30.5" but the pair I received measured in at 27"

I wore these pants on a week long climbing trip to the Eastern Sierras, 5’9” 165 lbs, athletic w/curves build. The majority of the time these pants were fantastic. I love the zip pocket for my phone. The waist band does need a drawstring to stay up as when you put the phone in your pocket, the pants start to slide down. Also, for high-step/mantle moves, there isn’t enough stretch in the fabric to confidently make those moves. It limits the ability to get your feet up high and that’s a challenge when those are committing moves to make in the first place. Otherwise the fabric is durable and the pant is comfy. I look forward to seeing how BD’s pants continue to evolve.

Love the fit of these pants! Comfortable, lightweight, quick dry and easy clean up. I wore them for many days of a canoe/camping trip in the BWCA and they were perfect to pull up the legs for putting the canoe in, then pull down the legs for portages through brush/bug filled trails. Also have worn on travel days and as casual everyday pants. I'm 5'4" and ordered size small -- the length was perfect for me. I plan to order more, just have to decide what color to buy next!

Great pants. I use them for hiking. I can use these for steep climbs as well as hiking in general. They are comfortable, breathable and have a nice fit. They could be a casual day wear pant as well. Ordered a second pair. I'm 5'3, 110 and found the XS to be a great fit.

I usually wear a 10-12 mostly to accommodate my meaty thighs, so I got a large. They fit nice where I want them to, but the waste was a little loose and I have to pull them up quite often. This got to the point where I wouldn't wear them, since there is no drawstring or elastic to add a bit of additional support. I took the time to put my own drawstring in them and now their perfect. I wear them all the time for work and play and will get another pair, just will be adding a drawstring sooner.

Not as stretchy as I thought

The quality of the fabric is amazing, it feels thick and firm. As I read the reviews I thought they were going to be super stretchy but badly they are not as stretchy as I thought, they are uncomfortable to wear, every time I bend down I can feel the pants coming down. They are also a bit short, I always use regular inseam, and these definitely feels too short. Wouldn't buy again. Maybe I should have sized up? Got carried away by the nice reviews.

I work, play, and live in BD's alpine series pants and was hoping these would be similar. They are a much less stretchy fabric and I had trouble squatting and high stepping in them. Had to return them. I would totally buy them for the style if they were made out of a fabric like the alpine light pants. I'm a size 4-6, 5'7" 140 and the small fit well (as it does in all BD pants for me).

I have a muscular lower body. Size medium in everything I own, got a medium in these. They look good on but I can’t high step or squat down without showing a lot of underwear. A smaller size would not fit my quads and a larger size would fall off of me. There needs to be a little more room for quads and glutes to flex and the waste band needs to be a tighter elastic to stay up.

I ordered several things, which I am keeping all, but these are hands down my favorite. Most pants are a bit long on my 5'3" frame but because these are made shorter they fit my curvy lower half perfectly. They have great movement and useful pockets!!! I'm pretty sure I will own these in several colors. WELL DONE BD!!!
