I don’t know if I got a defective pair but the butt wore out in less than 8 hours. I wore them to go shopping and then to dinner. Obviously nothing strenuous. The bottom ran like a pair of cheap stockings. I really loved these so much when I put them on. I’m super disappointed.
I tried both XS and S, but neither fit quite right—something about the cut just didn’t work for me. The fabric also feels quite heavy, which makes it less suitable for bouldering in my opinion. I can see how these pants might be great for others, but unfortunately, they didn’t work for me—neither as casual wear nor for climbing.
These pants are everything. I am a busy working mother of two young children and I can't stop wearing them. The material is professional looking enough to wear to work and is especially great for work travel because they are comfortable, durable, and don't show wrinkles. They are just as great for weekend errands or trips to the playground. I've worn them on a few hikes as well. And I've work them out with a tank and fun sandals. The pockets are deep enough to carry a phone or a dozen toy cars and they are easy to spot treat or machine wash. Great pants, I would totally buy them in other colors if available.
These pants are likely very comfy, provided you get them in the correct size. Elastic is very firm and waistband isn't very wide, so size slightly up to get a nice fit utilizing the drawstring. Pants are a little on the heavy side, but material is solidly made and will stand up to lots of abrasion and abuse. The wide legs are fashionable and easy to roll up. Wish I had purchased these in a large! Love the olive green color.
These are amazingly comfortable and so cute. I want them in all the colors!
I love these pants. They are comfortable and perfect for an active lifestyle, and also presentable to wear around town. I have a big butt and am usually between a medium and large bottom, I got the medium and they fit great. I prefer pants with a higher waist, and the waist on these are the perfect height and also stretchy enough to not be restricting. I struggle with finding pants that fit me right. I've also tried the Sequence pants and the Dogma pants from Black Diamond and they all fit me well. I'm officially hooked on Black Diamond.
Not to be dramatic but I think Black Diamond is the only company that actually references a "normal" female body when designing clothes. I have tried countless pants for climbing and these take the cake by a long shot. They are roomy, thick, mid-/high-rise, and length. I'm 5'5" with a 28" waist, 39" hips, and 29" inseam. I purchased a small and they fit loose through the hips/thighs with a bit of room in the waist. I immediately purchased a second pair and hope BD keeps making these in additional colors!
My most favorite pants to hike in. Lounge around in. Practice yoga in. The material is great— soft, stretchy, feels durable. Fits like a glove. I’m about 5’3”, and probably weigh 118 lbs, size small. Highly recommend
I have been eyeing these for a while. Researched and looked at the size guide and ordered a medium. Well, turns out they’re too big and baggy. And smalls are out of stock. And I already washed them. Soooo, I’ll wear them until smalls come back and then try and sell the mediums or give them away. Hence, maybe order two sizes and return the one the doesn’t fit. I wasn’t even in between sizes. I have a 31” waist and a small would fit better. Unless you like them baggy.
I got both a women's medium and men's small because I like the color options of the men's pants a lot better. The women's pants are less fitted in the legs, but I had no issues climbing in the men's pants. As it turns out, I actually like the fit of the men's pants better, though I'll keep both. Both have a very durable feel. For sizing reference I am 5'8" ~145-150lbs with a ~29" waist and ~40-41" hips. I did try on a men's medium and they were far too loose.
