Great day hiking pack with some nice amenities

I wanted a bigger pack than my 12 liter for day hikes, but not as big as my 32 liter. This pack fit the bill and I love it! It's not too heavy and has some nice amenities. It holds my 2L water bladder and says it will hold a 3L. There is a separate space in the pack for the bladder and it is easy to weave it through the back of the pack and secure on the straps. It does not impact my wearing of the pack. The pack has a large space for the 10 essentials and a few other things. The front of the pack has an opening that is great for things you need quick access to like a map or food. The side straps pinch tight around the pack and around the 2 side pockets where you can store a water bottle or other items. I can also connect my hiking poles on the front of the pack. They don't bang around or make noise. I found the pack to be very comfortable to wear. It fits well and I haven't had any problems with it. It is my second Deuter pack. There were 2 reasons I gave it 4/5 stars: 1) No place to put my phone for quick access. There is only one pocket on the waistband, which seems to be just a little small for my iphone and no storage on the straps. 2) The waistband only has one pocket. The other side looks like a pocket, but it is not and seems like a wasted opportunity.

Not great pack..

I just ordered this on line cause none in stores. I took a chance. first of all the back is very stiff and has no spine adjustment. it came way to high on my 5'8" body. secondly the bladder.sleeve inside is ok but the w he to feed your hose is very wonky. Terrible design in that it forces tube to be in center of back, hitting you. There is only one stash point on waist to put snacks in. I returned this. I was comparing with the just purchases Osprey 20 pack . The Osprey 20 has a much better feature .

Great for hiking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have started taking more items on my hikes & this bag is the perfect size and weight, which makes this ideal to take and unpack at the other end. Quality is very good and it was comfortable to wear and carry a moderate load. Got caught in a decent shower one day and it was water resistant enough to keep the contents dry. Would recommend as a purchase.

Deuter backpack

I loved this backpack but had to return it as I could not tighten the hip belt enough to rest on my hips. I did not think that backpacks have waist measurements (my ignorance) this is made for waist 26” and up (my waist is 24”) and this obviously makes a difference. I ended up with Deuter trail 26SL which is a little bigger volume than I wanted but smaller hip belt. Deuter bags are all just so wonderful!

Great for short women

I'm 5'2"/ 125lb and this was packed to the brim including food, a 24oz Hydro Flask, and a 2L water bladder. It was very comfortable on the 3 day short but steep hikes I did recently going to and from the Yuba River.

Return

I spotted this backpack at the sale and gave it a try because it is light weight and has a small frame. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. As other reviewers noted, the frame of the backpack hits uncomfortably in the back of my neck and creates a gap with the shoulders. I also had difficulty loading the weight onto the hip belt instead of the shoulder straps.

Love this hiking bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this hiking pack. The colors are very appealing. It os light weight but still heavy duty. Plenty of pockets for all of your hiking gear. Narrow fit which is great. Not big and bulky. Has narrow straps as well. I definitely recommend this pack. It is wonderful

Not comfortable for my body

I liked the lightness of this but it was too long for my short torso (short torso on a barely 5'4 body) and whatever the surface was that went against my back felt bumpy and rough and very uncomfortable. I couldn't see wearing this without several layers. Returned.

Great Daypack

Nice and lightweight daypack while still being supportive. Only complaint is that I wish it had a small interior pocket inside the backpack to store a wallet or other small personal items. Will see how it does on more hikes throughout the season.

Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really could not believe how much this backpack can hold! To look at it at first glance I never imagined the space that it has. I was able to fit everything I needed for a weekend hiking trip last week. There is even a secret compartment to store keys and cash or card, not easy for anyone to walk past and get my valuables. I liked that I could have a space for my water bottle as well. It is super lightweight and comfortable to carry.
