The pack that can do it all

I was in the market for a pack that I could use on long(ish) day hikes, but also something capable enough for occasional 1-2 day weekend backpacking. If you’re looking for something similar, this is it! Ordered it on sale for $90 and couldn’t be more satisfied. The sizing is perfect- 25L is more than enough for a day trip without being bulky and just enough space for when I want to go backpacking. It is very lightweight, materials appear high quality and the fit is comfortable. Water Bottle pockets are great, big bottles will fit! Bonus points for being able to fit my Phone (iPhone 11) in the zipper pocket on the hip belt. There aren’t many downsides but if I had to come up with some, they have an interesting ventilation system for your back, it is pretty good but could be better. the bag is not waterproof as far as I’m aware, you’d be smart to pair this with a rain cover. Lastly, I noticed the hole for the tube on your hydration pack is capable of pinching/kinking. Overall very happy with the purchase. If you’re thinking you may need more space, checkout the Deuter 30L - Same pack more space.

Osprey Talon 22 vs deuter men’s speed lite

It’s a nice color. Very visible. It also can hold quite a lot of stuff, 2 pairs of shoes and 2 lunches, on it’s inagural hike. The hydration bladder pocket can hold a 2.5 L bladder with ease and it also has side pockets for additional water bottles or snacks. Also, the hip belt has a small pocket for a phone or something of that size. I was decided on this one over the Osprey Talon 22. I liked the color better on this one. The hip belt for the Talon had slightly more padding but for day hiking and such, the need for additional padding is minimum in my mind. Overall, a good pack that I hope to use for many years on numerous hikes.

So many great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I love to go hiking and also mountain biking whenever we can. I recently got him this awesome backpack to use while we are out on the trails. This has so much space to be able to take what we need with us like sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit, bike repair kit, drinks, cellphones, you name it! There is even a spot he can put his glasses. It is very light but high quality. It fits to his body well. It is very comfortable while wearing. There are so many pockets and spaces to put what you need its great! I really love the looks of it too, very stylish for the trails.

Day bag for ANY day

I've hiked Kauai's Kalalau trail and managed a solid overnight no problem (I'm a lite hiker) I also use it as a carry on for. The CV is a great bag, though I do prefer the option from Deuter that includes pockets on the straps that really add to the comfort of the fit. Feels like a hug from a small mystical creature that carries your belongings. In my 7 years on the Deuter team, this is the best fit I think I've had in a long time.

Great day pack for a longer day.

I like this bag. I have the smaller speed lite and I wanted the 25 L for the longer day hikes or when I’m with family and need a little more room. I like side compression straps which this has. I’ve used the trekking poles holder and it wasn’t great. They sort of flop around and flair out a little bit to much. I looped a 24 inch strap towards the middle/top of poles so they would hang vertical and not flare out and that worked well. I prefer large bottles of water and the side pockets are perfect for that. Hip belt is comfortable. Hip pocket is pretty small but I’m sure I’ll figure out something to put in there. It does have a sort of flexible wire frame running around it. Bag is super light for its size. I’ve used it several times and would buy it again.

Love this backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my family go hiking a lot and this is perfect for that. It has all kinds of different compartments in this backpack. Very well put together and durable. The part that my whole family loves about this backpack is the soft gel on your back. No one minds putting this backpack on. It also has a strap that wraps around your chest and waist for a better hold.!

Great day pack

This is a great day pack, I don't see you getting more than one night with this if you're looking for a backcountry. I was just living up in Yellowstone National Park And this was exactly what I needed. Also love the bright color.

Very good multi-purpose pack

I bought this bag initially for a commuter bag and for short hikes, and I've started to use it for way more than just that. It's very light and very comfortable and the 25L holds a good amount for many different occasions like day hikes or working at coffee shops. I commute via bike very frequently and the pack fits snug to my back, while still being light and breathable so it's not constricting or too hot in warm weather. This was a surprisingly good purchase, and has become a bag I use for a ton of different scenarios!

Light and comfy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So incredibly impressed by this pack. The fabric is lightweight and breathable but it’s very durable at the same time. The back support is comfortable and there are many points of adjustability with the straps so I could really fine tune the fit. Thoughtful pockets and hooks really add to my overall great impression of this bag. It even has a spot for wet items. Lightweight, comfortable and thoughtfully made.

Loads and comfort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how much room I have with this bag! Perfect for hiking, camping and just a day trip. I loaded a weekends worth of food, clothes, and my hammock to this bag and it was still comfortable enough to carry around while hiking to the springs. The added straps under the bag made it easy to strap my hammock tent to it and go. I didn't even feel like I was carrying everything I carried.
