Really work in tick infested areas

These gaiters are game changers for working outside on my tick in infested woodland home. For years, it has been almost impossible to work outside in the warmer months, as one could get literally dozens of ticks from mucking about in the weeds. Now, I wear these gaiters over the top of my wellingtons, and rarely ever get a single tick. These really work! I have cats, so keep the gaiters stored out of reach, but this minor precaution is totally worth it.

Gaiters with insect shield

These gaiters stay on and up and they help keep me dry and more protected from sharp brush. I wore them in the Arkansas Ozarks during tick season and stayed tick free with a combination of taping my pants into my socks and wearing these gaiters over. Checking the fit with my intended boot and pants combination really helped me identify the correct size. I was in-between size Small and size medium. The size small was too short on my legs once I put on my boots, so I opted for the size Medium, and I just have to tighten the top. Thanks!

Keeping tick of you

My wife and I walk on trails through fields and woods on most days. I have had the shorter OR tick gators and purchased these to get better coverage in taller grass and on lush trails. We have used the OR tick gaiters for years and have had great results preventing ticks from getting on us. They have also held up nicely.

Does the Job!

I've had them for a couple of weeks, and so far so good! They're pretty easy to get on and off. the velcro closure feels secure.

Great in brushy areas where I hike a lot

I bought a pair in black last year and love them. They keep the dang foxtails out of my socks and boots and if I brush against some low-growing poison oak, it's all good. They are well made, easy to put on and they stay in place. I am female, 10.5 boot and got an XL. Fit great. Am buying a pair in the green fatigue color today.

Fantastic quality gaiters!

High quality gaiters and what you’d expect from Outdoor Research. They fit great and are knee height which is great. I haven’t used them in the field yet (I’m a wildlife biologist, but I’m excited to this spring/summer).

Disappointment

Disappointing. The cinch at the top slips and the gaiters fall down my legs. Disappointed when I found ticks crawling under the gaiters, climbing up the inside. So much for insect treated.

They do their job!

Took these gaiters up Wheeler peak in New Mexico last month. There was still quad deep snow and I sunk many, many times. These gaiters remained in place and kept the snow at bay the entire time! The little metal boot hook is a nice addition. The only gripe I have is that the retention strap clamp will come undone somewhat easily. These gaiters would be good for anybody looking to keep nature out of their boots!

Can't Be Beat!

Simply put, OR makes the best gaiters out there. The fit, attention to detail, design and materials result in the highest performing and easiest to use product on the market. After having struggled with others, I will love these! Quite sure that you will too.
