Quick drying but poor durability

I live in a hot and humid climate. Today was my first time wearing the shirt for a 3.5hr mountain bike ride and trail run combo. I was drenched in sweat and was really pleased with how light the shirt was and while it did fully saturate it did not stick to me like many of my other tech shirts. Really like the feel of this shirt with the mini waffle interior. Comfortable shirt and no issues with seams etc. Now the cons: The collar opening is a bit looser than I like, it is nice for the air ventilation but I like a closer fit for sun protection and I typically wear a pack so like more coverage to reduce direct skin contact with straps. Major issue also has to do with wearing a pack. After just wearing the one time the material is pilling up and shows noticeable wear in spots that were in contact with pack straps. Major problem for me as many of my outings are multi hour and I wear a hydration pack. This material would likely wear through after 10 or so more days like today. Not worth it to me for the price. While I really like the feel of the shirt it will be limited to shorter rides and runs with no pack. If durability was better I would pick up a couple more.

Don't use running. Texture = Friction and chafing

If not used for running, it's a decent shirt, but the texture makes it a total bust for running. The textured interior due to the "3-dimension knit" mentioned in the product description makes this the most friction/chafe prone shirt I’ve ever worn running. After only 6 miles it’s painful. None of my other shirts do that. Turning it inside out helps because the non textured is better, but the texture is really a bad design flaw that ruins an otherwise good shirt. If they fix that flaw and make it smooth inside it will be a good shirt.

Great Material, But Started Pilling Immediately

Great lightweight material with soft grid interior that disappears on the run. Great for hot and sweaty runs. The anti-clinging features work! The fit also works well for me, but may be too short for others with longer torsos. One gripe is that it immediately began pilling in numerous areas after my first run in it, which was with a running vest. I was surprised how fragile it was. But I got it on clearance with a steep discount, so I'll keep it. But I'd definitely be unhappy if I paid full price and it started pilling so quickly.

Great Road/Trail Running Shirt; Durability Issues

I own 5 of these shirts in different colorways, and in many ways these are my favorite running shirts. I live in Florida, and so I prefer thin, light, breathable fabrics to keep me cooler when I'm running in the Florida heat. The shirt is extremely light and breathable, and the texture on the inside of the shirt seems to do a good job of keeping the shirt from sticking to me when I'm running. The shirt also dries very quickly when I'm done with a run, sometimes I rinse it out then hang it out to dry and it's good to go again very quickly. The fabric is soft and comfortable; it's probably the most comfortable running shirt I own. My ONLY complaint about this shirt is that the inside of the shirt seems to fray and show pilling very easily. I can't even think of a good reason why this would happen. I sometimes wear a hydration belt over this shirt, but the outside of the fabric still looks fine; its the inside that's showing the pilling.

Fabric isn't durable, inside texture chafed bad

One run with a hydro pack left the shoulders fuzzy and pilled, This shirt was unwearable for even the easiest of days without nipple protection or body glide. It's as if the fabric they used inside out. I'm sure this shirt would be fine for anything other than running.

Pilling issues after 5 washes. Do not recommend.

I bought two shirts at the same time for a trip to SE Asia. I chose this brand because the fabric was very light and it dries quickly. After the firdt wash there was minor pilling visible on the fabric. After 5 washes the shirts look like rags. Do not buy.

I wanted to love this but..

This was my first purchase of a Janji item and I was excited to try it. I was looking for a running shirt to wear for my summer runs and this seemed to fit the bill. It was a little pricy at $58 but if it helped make the humid summer runs a little less miserable than it would be money well spent. Unfortunately it didn't. It is very light, and has a great look to it, but it had an odd fit in the collar and the material seemed to be both soft and rough at the same time. I threw it in the washing machine before I wore it to see if that made a difference and it helped but not much. My biggest issue with the shirt is that it is the only one I own that gives me the dreaded runners nip. I can only wear this with nip guards or tape. I am not sure what it is that causes the irritation but I don't have the problem with my other hot weather running shirts. It's a shame because I wanted to love this but it just doesn't work for me. I will still try other Janji products in the future but this was not what I had hoped for, especially at the price.

Good, not great

For hot runs, this shirt does not sag when saturated in sweat, dries quickly, and feels light on the skin. Style and fit are spot on for me. 3 stars because the Chafe is real when wet. I did a light 5 miles in cool weather, had no issues and was very excited. Today at mile 7 started to feel discomfort and by 9 skin was gone. Never had this problem so new experience to figure out. After the run I noticed the inner grid material was tacky compared to the main body material; I suspect from sweat. Overall good shirt, but need to use counter measures.

Super light, comfy, breathable! Love this shirt!

This is the second Helio tech shirt I've bought. I love the feel of the material and how incredibly light this shirt is. Use it running, at the gym, casually. Been surprisingly happy with my Janji products, all seem well made, technically designed, and very comfortable. I am usually a medium, but lately have been bordering into the Large realm. Bought this shirt in Large and it fits perfect. 5'11", 180, athletic build.

Fantastic shirt for training runs

Somewhat lightweight, cut is slim and the length is just right. Not everyone likes the Helio tech (it's a 3D bumped fabric to reduce clinging) but I'm a massive fan on the super hot days. If it were a little lighter or offered in a singlet, it would be my racing option. I own four of these Helio tech shirts and they're all holding up well under seasons of use. The fabric is somewhat abrasion resistant, but you definitely want to avoid crumpling / excessive rubbing with a running vest. I typically buy M in Janji; I bought an XL for extra flow.
