I am in love with these pants. So versatile- I plan to wear for any and all outdoor activities from fall through spring, for many years. They may be bit heavy for summer but we will see - I may still have to wear them for bushwhacking or tick areas. I agree the sizing of these is odd- I had to size down to a 4 (I’m usually a 6) which is contrary to most folks saying they found they run small. Despite sizing down, the fit is appropriate. I have narrower hips and I find they fit in the seat and thighs without sagging and the waistband is just right. The waistband has no give so not very forgiving if you do find yourself either between sizes or being on the curvier side.
I bought a pair of these pants four years ago love them so much bought another pair two years ago they've become my favourites and I overwear them. They still look like new except for a small pick on the thigh of my newer pair but I'm the only one who knows it's there. Most comfortable pants ever for working and bending they stretch in all the right places. My husband and I even wear them skiing with an under layer. Fabulous secure pockets for multitool, phone and wallet. Never put them in the dryer and you will get many happy years with them. They are expensive but worth the money. I have received more compliments on these pants than all my other clothes combined. I bought the green and cabin red.
I’m hard on gear, especially clothing when in the mountains. After loving my first pair of Kebs, I bought a second and they’re quickly replacing most of my softshell-style mountain pants. The side zips are great for venting the legs on sunny days on the glacier. I’ve worn these through dumping snow and miserable rain and have never had an issue so long as you keep up with the water-proofing recommendations. The design is well though out with stretchy material for comfortable movement in spots and reinforced material where necessary for durability.
I have purchased several pairs of Kebs in different sizes as I have changed shape and weight over the years. They are fabulous trousers and I love them. My most recent is an October 2021 pair, size 46, that fits perfectly. I needed another, additional pair for a trip to Northern Norway in a few weeks. The website announces the "improved fit" and suggests that size 46 might consider sizing down. I did, and ordered a 44. It is too tight and a bit short. I then ordered the 46, and to my surprise and disappointment it looks fat and sloppy on me. The "old fit" was perfect; neither of the "improved fit" sizes, fits. I am struggling to decide on a distinct second best from my old ones, and it's an expensive decision. Not a happy camper here.
My daughter got me a pair of these pants for Christmas last year. When I tried them on I instantly fell in love with how they felt. They were a little big in the waste and slightly long. However, what I really love about these pants are the ankle straps and the ability to cinch them around your boots. Perfect hunting pant in my opinion with leg/thigh vents and large pockets fir phone and e-collar remote, or anything you carry. They are super comfortable, water resistant on the legs, and they dry quickly everywhere. I love them so much that I'm ordering my 3rd pair (my second pair I ordered a size smaller sz.4, and they fit perfectly) and a pair for my son in law and husband for Christmas. For reference, I'm 5'2 135# with Athletic build.
The Keb trouser is my favorite Fjallraven pant. I sometimes call it a technical sweat pant. It is THAT comfortable. These are my go- to pants for colder mountain biking temperatures and spring skiing. The botton system at the ankle makes for a good jogger style fit. Or you can loosen it up to fit over a bigger boot. Despite the two zipper vents I find that these trousers start to feel a bit too toasty for temps 65 degrees farenheit and warmer. Check out the abisko lite trekking trouser for a comparable style made with a lighter weight fabric.
Bought these Spring of 2021 for two multi-day hikes over the summer. Overall these are great! The fit is wonderful, they are durable and sturdy while on multiday hikes. However I hold gave three stars because I find they do really start to stretch out after 2+ days in a row where I feel like i need to add a belt. More frustrating, the side seams where the zipper is sewn in along the side of the thighs creates a pressure spot where I have gotten rub marks or blisters every time I have worn these. I now have to pad those spots.
This was the first piece I ever owned from Fjallraven and remains the best pair of hiking pants I've ever had. The first time I really used them, I was backpacking in the Sierras in the middle of summer and though I might use a lighter pair in that particular climate, the fact that I didn't feel like I was melting was huge. The side vents helped with heat management, and the durability of the fabric made me feel invincible! The more I use them, the more rugged they look and I just love that.
I purchased my first pair of Keb trousers two years ago. I love them so much I recently purchased a second pair in the same size (38). The new pair are the updated, “improved fit” style. The new pair are way too large and baggy in the seat and legs. It is hard to believe they are the same size! I am going to try going down to a 36, but I doubt the size 36 waist will fit me! So sorry they changed the fit. Everything else about the trousers looks as great as in the original fit.
I bought these pants two weeks ago and I have used them a few times and I'm OBSESSED. One day, I wore them on a 22-mile day hike that involved moving through brush and climbing. There were a few cacti that I didn't notice, and these pants saved me from being stabbed by them! They also stayed comfortable and didn't stretch at all throughout the day. I also got poured on one of my other hikes and these pants stayed dry. Worth the price if you hike a lot!
