I have tried out probably 20-30 pairs of pants to find my perfect pair of backpacking pants. Functionally, these pants are fantastic. The fabric has a nice stretch to it (I can climb in them!), but still feels structured in a way that makes me think they’re going to hold up well for a long time. The pockets are large and the hardware is well-made. But lots of pants are highly functional, especially when you’re in this category of technical gear. I’m obsessed with these pants because they finally fit me in a way I like! Most hiking pants I’ve found are either skin tight around the hips or feel like a straight-leg sack. I have pretty defined hip dips that I don’t like to prominently feature, and these pants are magical. They hide my hip dips and make everything else look AMAZING. I’m between a 4-6 in most brands and bought a 6 in the pants which has been perfect. I definitely have a little space available at the waist, but I’ll inevitably need that when the backpacking-food bloat kicks in! 😂
I loved the fit right off the hop so I bought two pairs. I've been rocking these for 8 months now and they show no signs of wear. Solid construction that you can trust in the bush. Bear spray fits perfectly in the front thigh pocket. I bought size 38. I am 5'5", fluctuate between 134-137lb. 28-29" waist, 38" hips. On my skinnier feeling days they are loose, and on my cycle or if I've just been on indulgent vacation they feel amazing still! I have the regular Keb pants and they are a bit heavier with a tighter feeling. I choose the keb agile pants 90% of the time. Keb agile are my fav pants by far. Thanks Fjallraven!
I really like these pants for wildlife biology field work. I wore them everyday for a week long backcountry work trip this past summer and wear them whenever I am working around creek crossings or will need lots of pocket space for gear. The one downfall is that these pants are not made for pokey desert environments, and they have gotten very snagged by having to bushwack around white thorn acacia and typical thorny desert plants.
Love these pants!!! They fit so well, and they look great. Everything about them is high quality, and I can't wait to wear them on my adventures... definitely recommend. I am going to look at the other colors (too bad they don't have more options like the men do...).
As a tall woman, finding activewear that truly fits is a constant struggle. While shorter individuals can easily hem pants, we don’t have the luxury of adding length. This 36" inseam pant is a rare and much-appreciated find—but it’s disappointing that it’s the only option available. Not all women are 5'4", and longer lengths can be worn by anyone, including shorter women. It would be fantastic to see more tall-friendly styles included in the lineup.
I wanted to love the keb trousers but I couldn’t get over a few flaws. The thicker material is not ideal for summer conditions and the reinforced butt gave me a uni-butt. I recently bought the keb agile trousers and they are perfect. The pants are thinner, still durable, and have quite a bit of stretch! Overall I think these new trousers are the perfect edition to my hiking wardrobe.
my 3rd pr of hiking pants from Fjallraven, and as usual, don't disapoint. the keb agile are lightweight, and good for long distance backpacking trips. They wash up nicely in the sink and dry overnight. Lots of pockets. the pants stretch nicely and don't bind at the waist at all. (this is the new updated fit, and i love it)!
This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items won't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.
