Great shades

I have always been a Ray Ban guy. However in searching for a new pair of sunglasses (that were polarized) I happened upon the Smith eastbank core and decided to give em a go as I have Smith goggles for skiing, and Smith wildcats for cycling - both of which I am completely in love with. These sunnies are perfect. They're made from recycled bottles, are polarized as mentioned, comfortable, not too big on my face, and really easy to clean. Get em. I am happy I did :)

The frames are a bit

The frames are a bit darker than what I thought they would be based on how they looked on the website. The quality looks really nice. I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to find a place to actually try them on. I painstakingly went over the measurements and tried to get some as close to my previous Smith glasses as possible and it simply just didn’t work. I unfortunately don’t care for them and cannot return them so I am not exactly thrilled. Ordering sunglasses online and not being able to return them is just not a good option.

Amazing, two recommendations

So happy to see Smith make sustainable sunglasses like this. The material feels great to me and with a medium face fit me quite well. The only disappointing part is that compared to the standard Eastbank, these don’t have the auto lock hinges and the megol nosepads, and also aren’t offered with a ChromaPop lens. I really want to keep these as I’m a big supporter of sustainable product, but I wish I didn't have to sacrifice some of those nice features and options.

Great glasses, but color is misleading

The glasses are great - would have gotten 5 stars if not for the color. These are more black than tortoise - you really have to work to find the tortoise! Otherwise, they’re wonderful: nice style, snug fit, and of course, fantastic lenses. I’ve been wearing Smith sunglasses for over 30 years, and obviously, I’m a contented customer!!

The Eastbank Core is my go to lifestyle frame!!

I love the Eastbank Core. I love It's shape, the overall size fits my fat head and makes me actually look good. Haha. I just bought my 3rd pair so now I have one in my car, at the office and in my apt.

Great sunglasses!

The fit is perfect, the frames are high-quality, the optics are excellent (a given with Smith Optics), and I like that they are made using recycled materials. I highly recommend these shades!

Sunglasses upgrade

I really like the modern style of these glasses and the matte black finish with the polarized gray lens. The lens color is great for driving. I wish the arms were not so tight.

I don’t love the feel

I don’t love the feel of the sunglasses. My Smiths from the past have felt a bit higher quality. I think it’s the weight but it is not what I expected

The recycled material of the

The recycled material of the Core glasses played a big part in my choosing my glasses. The Eastbank fit great and offer just enough classic style.
