Perfect medium base layer
It's perfect as an under layer for hiking or something moderately active. I wore it while hiking in the redwoods in January and it was a great layer under my fleece when it was in the 40's and 50's. It's recommended as a hiking/climbing under layer and I'd agree with that. We're going snowboarding next week in New York and it's supposed to be below freezing during the day. This layer is not warm enough for that so I'll probably leave it at home. It's not advertised as such but this is just a heads up for someone looking for warmth. Of all my thermals, this is the most breathable and offers the least length to tuck in for added warmth. The back of the shirt is perforated and breathable, too perforated for cold climates but a great feature to keep you from overheating when it warms up during a hike. The overall length is waist length. The style is cute and very flattering. It's the only thermal layer I own that I'd consider wearing as a regular shirt. I'm 5'10" and a size 2 and the XS fit perfectly. Happy with the sleeve length and everything!
