I used this for the first time on my hiking/camping trip to Palo Duro Canyon in North Texas. Nights got down to the low 40s and the days got up to 80 or 90° F - kept me comfortable when temperature started dropping around dusk and during the day I never felt like I was overheating (it actually helped keep me quite cool). The style works really well for my torso shape, bust and height. I personally liked the length of it Since it hit right around where my leggings came up around my belly button. I am 5’10” and about 160 lbs.

I absolutely LOVE this top. I bought two colors and would buy more if they offered more. It is lightweight and hangs perfectly just below the waist. I use it for outings to the store after yoga and workouts because it covers me up without being hot. I also wear it to cover up to keep just a bit warm while doing yoga or going to the gym before I get 🥵 and then easily peel it off. I’m a trainer and it is perfect as a work top because it covers my muscular arms and doesn’t cling to my boobs… which both are a distraction as people tend to stare at both when I’m training people…I don’t need that type of attention especially when trying to be professional and do my job.
I have to say this is the best top I have purchased from any brand for quite a while. The fabric is very light but substantial with a great feel to it. I appreciate the fact that it is recycled. The raglan style is flattering and the sleeves and neckline reflect it's sun protective function. The ruching on the side gives it some style. It's not just another long-sleeve outdoor top. It's very cute. I layer it over a longer tank so I can peel out of it when the day or sport gets too warm . It's a very functional, cute, gossamer-lite sport top. Runs true to size. My only complaint is with Prana's somber color palate. Wish they would add at least one exciting color like an eggplant or amethyst or fuschia.
I have the Sol Searcher semi cropped hoodie in 3 colors and love it. Even though these seem heavy and they are long sleeve, they really do keep you cooler in the sun than a t shirt. The fabric is very breathable and cool to the touch. I saw this version on clearance and wanted the green. It fits a little larger than the hoodie version. The shirred sides give it a more "fitted" appearance, but I do prefer the non shirred hoodie version. With that said, I ordered this in blue vibes too.
I recently added the prAna Sol Searcher Long Sleeve Crew to my wardrobe, and it has quickly become a favorite. The fabric is soft, breathable, and offers excellent stretch, making it perfect for various activities. The cropped design adds a modern touch, and the gathered side seams provide a flattering fit. I appreciate the UPF 50+ protection, which is great for outdoor adventures. While I love the available colors, I do wish it came in black to match more of my outfits. Overall, it’s a versatile and comfortable top that I find myself reaching for often.
I've been searching for a cute long sleeve shirt with UPF protection and finally decided to try this one. I'm so glad I did. It's super soft and comfortable. I personally love the rouching -- it adds some interest to the design when most other brands offer pretty boring sun shirts. I would love it if they made a version of this shirt using wool instead of polyester (or primarily with less polyester.) That and more muted, earthy color options, please! (I got the rye green.) All in all, I really love this shirt and recommend it.

I was really excited about this top but unfortunately will still return. I purchased my normal xs and the arms were too tight (I do rock climb regularly, so forearms are more muscular) and exchanged for a small hopeful that the arms would be more relaxed. No dice. I also find most of the prana tops to have extremely long arms and I'm very over the thumb hole in most of their tops. I loved the ruched detailing on the sides.
I loved these long sleeve have them in several colors. They redesigned them and they are too short and not practical for hiking. The side bunching is uncomfortable with backpack waist straps and causes the shirt to ride up. I was looking forward to the new season’s colors and am disappointed that I won’t be able to purchase any more. I appreciated the simplicity and flattering fit of the original.
