Perfect coat for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this specifically to wear on an upcoming vacation. I absolutely love it! The pockets are great, I know that may sound silly but the zippered pockets have a soft lining in them to keep my hands warm and then the flap pockets can hold my hanky, chapstick, whatever I put in there. I love the length since it covers my butt! It's nice to have the option to remove the furry hood - I haven't worn it yet without the zip out liner but will soon. The jacket keeps me toasty warm when I'm out walking my puppy early morning/late night. I hope it packs well. I bought a Women's Plus 2X and it's true to size for me. Very pleased with my purchase!

Nice coat but not that warm

I have owned Colombia products in the past and so when it recently came time to purchase a new coat I came here. By the reviews of this product and shopping around, this sounded like the one! I live in Northern New Hampshire and so a warm coat is necessary in the deep of winter. Unfortunately, this coat is not going to cut it as it does not handle wind well. The shell gets cold and it transfers through to the lining and then to me. It would be a good early winter/spring coat but not in -30 weather. I wish I could return it, but I took the tags off before it got really cold and I found out the truth. Also a little small in the shoulders.

LOVE IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is great and exactly what I was looking for. Definitely on the warm side, so if you get hot easily, not the best for running around, although, I haven't tried it without the shell, so that could be the ticket. Either way, super warm for bitter cold NY days. It's lightweight and not too puffy, and the hood is amazing. I remember the days of putting on a hood and it's being freezing, but the sherpa lining solves that problem. Lots of pockets, love the length and THUMB HOLES! The fit is great. I slight waist cinch to make it not look like a sack, but not so much where it's uncomfortable for us girls who weren't born with the tiny waist shape.

Perfect in Every Way

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a coat that was warm and waterproof to wear on a trip to New York, but did not want to invest in a coat that would be useless in the warm South Georgia winters. This coat is perfect in every way. It kept me warm and dry on my trip and will still be versatile to wear the outer layer as a raincoat at afternoon school pickup duty while wearing the inner warm and stylish puffer coat separately on cooler days. The length is great and the black cherry color is beautiful. The deep pockets held my gloves, hat, scarf, and cell phone with room to spare. I cannot say enough great things about this coat!

It got here right on time for the cold german Winter. The outer shell is great, keeps me dry and is long enough to cover my backside. The material and fabrication are of good quality, I am happy with that. However, the liner.. I have had this style of liner jacket before, but this time it looks like the filling is trying to come out of the seams, so wearing it by itself is a no-go, it just doesn't look nice, it looks like the liner jacket has seen several winters. Sadly that defeats the purpose of buying a 3-in-1 jacket for me... 3 stars for that, I expected a bit more of a $250 Columbia jacket. But, if you don't plan on separating the jackets, it is a warm wintercoat that will keep you dry.

Happy :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket for a recent trip to NYC, expecting really bad weather. It was great 👍🏼 the jacket is waterproof and retains heat well! I wore a pullover and this jacket and survived 35 degree weather. It was a great idea to invest on a Columbia jacket.

Not warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looking at the pictures I assumed this jacket is a bit longer but it isn't a deal braker. The jacket looks very well made and looks good quality. I ordered black but I wouldn't call it black. I really like the 3 in 1 idea. My disappointment is in how very cold it is. I live in Illinois and this jacket will not keep you warm one bit. I should have go outside in it before I cut all the tags from it. Really a shame because it really could have been great if only added an extra insolation to it to actually make it a winter jacket. This jacket runs big in the arms a chest area.

Short jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ultimately had to return this jacket, as it was much shorter than I thought it was based on the pictures shown on this site. I prefer a longer winter jacket, at least something that covers my behind, but this barely covered me and the bottom inch or two of the coat is only a single layer (the inner, more warmer lining falls shorter than the outer lining) so it's really not very warm. This jacket also fit a bit more snug than my other Columbia coat in the same size. If you need a ski jacket and don't mind having your lower half exposed, this might be okay for you.

A jacket that does everything!

I recently purchased this coat and have worn it every way possible in the temperamental Pacific Northwest weather in the last few weeks. The function, design and comfort hit all the marks. 5ft 9in tall, size 18 pant, selected a 3X and have room for an thick sweater. Jacket is a nice weight, heavy enough without being bulky. Lengthy enough to cover the bum and keep it warm. Only for Columbia is to add one more set of pockets higher up and vertically slotted for hands in pocket walking. Super satisfied!!!! Even thinking about buying another color…

Bells and whistles almost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live off the grid in the Rocky Mountains and spend vacations Traveling on Icebreakers. This jacket is good to wear on a snowmobile or in a port. If it had Pit-Zips and more pockets, it would have all the Bells and whistles. Having the 3 in 1 layers give a wider range of uses. I didn’t think this is an Extreme Arctic jacket but I will see if it works at sub-zero conditions. I tried this jacket in several sizes, I usually wear a 2x but need room for heavy thermal clothes. I hope it last as long as my older Arctic wear.
