i use plastic bags as

i use plastic bags as my food storage go-to so i was excited about a sustainable option. This on is just okay however for the price, it should be great which makes it bad. While the idea of a reusable environmentally friendly bag is admirable, the execution feels like a sophomore industrial design C+ project. Opening the bag is cumbersome. The translucent material makes it difficult to determine whats inside. it stains VERY easily and who wants to have stacks of plastic bags on the terrace sunning alongside you? I won't buy anymore nor will I recommend this product, just the contrary. I would like to invite you to my next Tupperware party.

All-around star!

In my home, these are the most versatile bags. I use them to keep produce in the refrigerator; I swear things stay fresh for days longer with these bags than without. I also use them under the sink and in the laundry room to store bulk cleaning supplies that would be ruined if they got damp. When I go somewhere that involves swimming, I always take one of these to put my wet suit in to keep everything else in my bag dry. I have wet-erase chalk markers and it makes it easy to label the bags and then change the labels if the bag takes on a new purpose. I keep thinking I have enough of these bags, then I find new uses, run out, and have to get more (not to mention a few friends have talked their way into taking some of mine!).

Yes , I recommend this product

Stasher stand-up mega is a winner

I love all my Stasher bags, but the stand-up mega has proven to be especially useful … so much so that I bought a second one. I use them mainly for produce, like lettuce and broccoli. I’ve found that my fruits and veggies stay fresh longer. And it makes me feel good knowing that I’m helping the environment. I love that the bags come in pretty colors, yet they’re transparent enough to see what’s inside them. The bags have a good tight seal and are very durable and easy to wash, whether in the dishwasher or by hand. And the mega holds way more than I thought it would. Also, the bags always arrive promptly. I highly recommend them!

Great quality, one problem

I have ordered Stasher products twice based on their flexible use, business model, focus on the environment and practicality. We really like them and have loved sharing our overall positive experience with friends and family. We primarily use them for food storage in the frig and taking to/from work; we heat food in the microwave yet have not used them in he oven at this time. We clean them by hand-washing and in the dishwasher. This week one of the Half-gallon sandwich bags melted with two holes as it was cleaned in the dishwasher. I was very surprised and a bit disappointed. Is it possible to replace this bag? Thank you for your consideration and direction!

Whole family loves them!

My husband, myself, and even our kids LOVE Stasher bags! A few years ago we found this website while looking for environmentally friendly alternatives for plastic ziploc bags. We use them mostly for freezer storage because they keep food from getting freezer burnt. Our favorite is the new Stand-Up Mega Bag because we can sit it up on the counter while we cut veggies, and we add the scraps into the bag to be frozen to make homemade veggie stock powder. We also love the half gallon and sandwich sized bags for other things - our toddler even loves the smaller bags for snacks! Stasher bags are well worth the investment!

Best Stasher Bag, Hands Down

Is it weird to have an infatuation with reusable bags?? These are no joke the best reusable bag ever. I bought two of the new stand-up mega bags the second I saw them. My husband eats a frozen banana every day in his oatmeal and I was getting so sick of reusing plastic freezer bags until they break. These are perfect for holding larger items like bananas and so much more. We already loved our regular size stand-up Stasher for storing everything from lentils to half-heads of cabbage, to leftover soup. The only downside is they don't come in more colors! Stasher, PLEASE release these in more color options! Bottom line: if you are thinking about buying these bags, do it!

So I put some leftover

So I put some leftover channa masala (an Indian dish) in a large Stasher and popped it in the freezer. Then a few weeks later I pulled it out to take on a camping trip, where it served while frozen as ice in my ice chest. Then I put the Stasher+contents into boiling water to heat up the contents. I served the contents directly from the Stasher. And the leftovers just stayed in the Stasher for return to the ice chest. So easy--no cleanup, which is a big deal on a camping trip. When the remainder got home, I heated the (opened) Stasher in the microwave and served out the rest of the channa masala. It was WONDERFUL!

Saving the planet one bag at a time

I've bought many stasher bags and bowls. I don't have to search my cupboards for lids that fit and match. I don't have to keep buying bags, I don't put more plastic waste in the landfills! These bags are so handy and so useful. I love that they seal and are easy to open, no searching for the opening and they are safe to use and no waste. They come in various sizes and colors so I can decide which bags to use for which types of storage. I mostly use them for food. I made popcorn in my large bag and it turned out great. Just wash and no pan and lid to wash or bags to throw in the landfill. I love them!

oh geez it wants me

oh geez it wants me to write a separate review for every bag, lol no. they're all great. the mega is nice and roomy and stands up (even upside-down in the dishwasher). the half-gallon is a bit harder to wash, but just fits a set of shape-n-store burgermaster hexagons. the snack bag I'm actually using to take my old non-waterproof phone into the shower atm.
