Non Drying Mineral Sunscreen
I bought this because it was plastic free but now it's my go-to sunscreen. I find most mineral sunscreens to be very drying and while this goes on oily it settles into a nice moisturized feel pretty fast. I love wearing it in the dry heat we have here. And it's great for sports: it absolutely does not run or pill or get in your eyes or attract dirt. It's unscented and does not irritate my skin. And as a bonus the tin is super handy to stick in a pocket or fly with and not worry about spillage or making a mess. It does not leave any white cast on my (admittedly lighter) skin once it dries which was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!
In the hot sun, this is your best choice
As a REI Adventures Guide in the Grand Canyon- this sunscreen is a must. It's perfect to fend off sunburn, and the tin means NO explosive tubes of mess. Ingredients are good and Badger is a Co I trust. Has a slight white tinge to it, but not like the typical "zinc sunscreen look". 4 days this week in 90+ Grand Canyon sun and heat and not a bit of sunburn. This sunscreen is REI Guide Approved!
Ashy, White Cast on Dark Skin
I was excited to try this sunscreen because of the plastic-free packaging and the clean ingredients. However, I couldn't even wear the sunscreen out of the house. I have dark skin and immediately once I applied the product, I knew it was not going to work. Even after waiting 15-30 minutes, the tint is extremely visible and like most zinc-based sunscreen the cast was white and made my skin look ashy (think ghost). There is nothing clear about this Zinc. I will returning the product.
It's my default sunscreen
It looks like a thick white cream in the sample photo, but it doesn't leave any white strokes on my face. It's in a tin can, not plastic, and of course reef safe! I appreciate this product.
Holy Grail Travel SPF
Perfect for travel or all-day outings due to the sleek tin packaging. One of the best full coverage mineral sunscreens I've found that's also incredibly affordable. It's a rich, condensed zinc cream so you need to warm it up in your hand before applying. Wears sheer after being applied and lasts for hours.
Sun screen
I ski at sea level in Southeast Alaska. The Spring sun is intense with the reflection of the snow. I need the protection for my nose lips and face to prevent burning.
Hard to use
It’s so hard I can’t get any out to use on my skin. Disappointing.
