We are a big fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a big fan of all BOTE products and make them available to our guests who stay at Little Peter Oasis private island in Belize or www.littlepeteroasis.*** Highly recommend to all customers for great appearance, utility and ruggedness!

Very poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The one that was sent to me was defective. One of the holes in the end of it was not machine properly, so the paddle does not fit and secure into it. It was also sent to me with two right sides and no left side. Even if everything fit correctly and the parts were accurate it still seems like a very low quality paddle and especially for the price after using a handful of other paddles in my life.

Dont buy this

Paddle worked great for 5 uses Then plastic paddle snapped in water and was lost. Called and wrote to manufacturer, they wont refund and cant replace the small paddle part even if I wanted to buy it. Dont buy Bote. Luckily REI did the right thing and refunded me despite a poor customer service experience with Bote. Lesson learned. Dont buy Bote.

Far exceeded expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially very cautious about buying an inflatable kayak however we have loved them so much, we bought a third for guests to use. Stellar design, very well thought out features. I timed the time it took from unboxing to water ready, 20min including reading the directions. Holds air for days at a time without losing one PSI. Very stable to go from standing to sitting as you please, even when my 70lb dog is jumping on and off. If you like both paddle boarding and kayaking, you need one. If you have minimal storage at home, this is the kayak/paddle board for you since they pack down into a suitcase. We can fit all 3 into the trunk of a compact car. Only complaint I have is I wish the seat could have more cup to the bottom. I recommend either buying the magnepod drinkware or the cup holder when you buy the kayak. You’ll decide you need it after the first voyage.

Bote kayak paddle delivers

I bought this paddle to use on my paddleboard with the inflatable Bote SUP seat. Because I sit so high up in this configuration, it's really great to have a paddle that adjusts to fit appropriately. Before I got this, I was just using a paddle from a sit-in kayak, which was way too short. This one telescopes out to just the length I need to paddle comfortably. It's not the lightest paddle I've ever used, but it's well-made and comfortable in my hands. Even on the 3-1/2 hour upstream paddle I did last weekend, my arms never felt tired. This is just a really nice paddle from a great company.

Cypress and Native good time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far really good. We have been having fun getting back on the water. Really stable over boat wakes and easy to get in the bote. I am concerned about the Texas heat. We try not keeping them on land in the sun.

Family fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good extension. To 155-160 which is necessary for sitting up above the water in the Bote Zeppelin.

Lessons learned

The first time we took out the boat had the kids on and was surprised how fast we were able to to go. The lesson came when I converted to paddle board for the 12 year old to try. He got in a few deft strokes before some jet ski waves messed his balance and he went to a knee. I think while doing so he gripped the release button and one of the paddles flew off. I wasn't aware they didn't float and even if did not sure I would have done anything different but I would suggest if younger or anyone concerned with maybe take off one paddle when going from kayak to board to avoid the same fate of getting one use before a souvenir gets left at bottom of the lake
